Via Air

Currently Nepal is served by only one international airport, which lies in the capital city Kathmandu

Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu is served by numerous carriers, which alongside international, offer domestic flights as well.

Via Surface (Overland)

One can also enter Nepal by crossing border from India in Southern Nepal from following points:

Kakarbhitta, Birgunj, Sunauli, Nepalgunj, Jamuna, Dhangadi, Mohana, Mahendranagar, Ghaduchowki

Nepal also can be entered from Tibet from the border point in Kodari, which is north of Kathmandu. 

Passports

A valid passport is required for all nationals   

Visa Requirements and Fees

Effective from Shrawan 1, 2065 (July 16, 2008). The new fee structure is:

Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 15 days: US $25 or equivalent foreign currency

Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days: US $40 or equivalent foreign currency

Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 100 days: US $100.

Tourist Visa Extended: US $2 or equivalent Nepalese currency per day.

Multiple Entry facility (obtained only for the extension period): US $20 or equivalent and visa fee for the extended period.

Visa renewal: US $3 or equivalent Nepalese currency on the regular visa extension fee

Indian Nationals do not require Visa to enter the country. However, they require some form of national identification.

Inocculations, etc.

Health International certificate of vaccination regarding current inoculation against cholera, typhoid and yellow fever are not required.

No inoculations are required however, hepatitis A, typhoid and meningitis  are recommended.
