My partner and I rode with Yannick for two days in 2018. We are experienced cyclists who have been privileged to ride in various locations. During our two rides with Lava Bike Tours (day trips to the Twin Lakes and Congo Nile Trail) we found the service from Yannick and his staff to be very professional. Although the information on the website differed from what was now being offered, Yannick was flexible and accommodating in order to rectify the situation and ensure we had a ride that met our specific needs. During the rides we found the stories and history of the area interesting and had ample water and tasty food along the way. We look forward to watching Lava Bike Tours grow over time, including improving their fleet of bikes. Overall, we enjoyed our ride and found the scenery and culture beautiful. I would book and ride with Lava Bike Tours again and can confidently recommend them to others.

We had the pleasure of hiking with Yannick part of the Congo-Nile Trail and would not hesitate to recommend him for anyone considering hiking or biking while during Rwanda. He was very professional and responsible and also great company! We did not get the chance to book a bike tour with him, but he can do both pre-organised tours as well as bespoke bike tours also from Kigali or other cities.

Yannick does an excellent job at Lava Bike Tours! I did a one on one trip with him to the Twin Lakes outside of Musanze. He was very engaging and had so much history to share about this area of Rwanda. The equipment was nice and he personally delivered the bike to me the day before the ride to get a good fit. I highly recommend this tour company!

It was such a great experience (I normally am not a fan of cycling) and Yannick made us all feel very comfortable! His patience is second to none esp with a group of 6 with different fitness level and cycling experience. The mountain bike was also in great condition and you’ll be provided with a helmet for extra safety. You’ll cycle through the villages which is not easily accessible by car and get to experience getting up close and personal with the lovely locals (esp the cute kids!!!). This is a tour not to be missed if you’re around the area

Yannick and his bike tour was fantastic, and made for a highlight of my time in Uganda. Bikes were good, and we cycled through small rural villages outside of Kisoro, where children would run after us shouting and laughing. There were a few hills along the way to keep things interesting, and Yannick was incredibly patient and kind in helping people up them. Yannick himself was also quite an inspiration for achieving so much already, and I look forward to seeing his business grow. Brilliant tour, and I'll gladly book another tour if I'm back
