My stay was terrible, room was not ready on arrival even after checking in 1hr later, had to wait 45mins until ready, no towels available ( 5 people) received 2damp towels after sourcing on my own. A bed was removed out of the room when we were out for dinner without consultation. At midnight we had to call the manager to resolve. The outdoor furniture (per the photos) is either non existent or broken, extremely dirty lobby and rooms. In serious need of a good clean with maintenance work.
The breakfast definitely not what advertised.

The staff pleasant but the owner / manager did not seem to care too much or take the issues seriously

I stayed here for just over two weeks and had a very comfortable time. This is a simple hotel but with some great features that make it rather special. First of all, my spacious room was right on the sea with uninterrupted views across the ocean. As the tide went in and out you could watch all sorts of life - fisher-men and -women, and many kinds of birds come and go. Second, the service was exceptionally friendly, the staff appeared genuinely happy to please. Third, the food is really excellent, especially the king prawns and the fruit juices.

There are a few minor downsides, the hotel is 10km out of Stone Town and across an unmade causeway. So you need to take the hotel bus into town ($10) and get a taxi back too. On the other hand it's near the airport (noise is not a problem though). Also, the hotel doesn't serve alcohol, I felt better for that after a bit but it might be an issue if you need to relax with a drink as the sun sets.

However, all-in-all very nice indeed for a simple hotel and I got an excellent rate too because of the long stay.

Room tip: Ask for a sea facing room. The forest view rooms face the pleasant entrance, swimming pool and mangroves behind but don't compare really.

Props.
Close to the Airport and they arrange a free pick up.
Staff are nice.

Cons:
No choice of breakfast! I had same meal for 3 days and its not buffet!.
The beach is accessible if you are courageous. There are alot of stones which makes it difficult to use but i actually swim there.
They charge in USD which makes everything including food, water, tours very expensive.
Wifi is poor in the room
What I saw there is nothing close to the pictures that was posted online.

We only stayed one night between flights. The hotel did arrange a pick up and return to the airport.

The rooms had air conditioning.

However the short night was interrupted by a cricket in the room and they could not do anything about it making for a very short night.

The bathrooms smelt of urine.

The breakfast took a long time and the eggs were undercooked.

The hotel looks a lot better on the website than it actually is. We did not have time to try the swimming pool.

The resort is not far from the airport and Ferry drop off which makes it accessible to most of the key sites in Zanzibar.
The images of the hotel on the website are misleading...the furniture is a bit dated and the rooms are not as cost. The staff are pleasant but could do with a bit more training on how to handle pressure. Avoid the manicure and pedicure because your nails will be damaged by because of lack of expertise.
