Staff are attentive and very service orientated. The pool is good size and looks out to sea. The beach is not accessible but we had an experience of going out with a fisherman in his boat for about an hour which was memorable. Stonetown is 30 minutes and easily accessible by taxi or even the local bus for those that are more adventurous. The manager is in touch with all the guests monitoring their satisfaction and answering questions and arranging tours if required. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was the highlight with lots of cooked options on offer. The view from the restaurant lounge area out to sea was enchanting.

Room tip: We had a city view room that was oblong in layout as opposed to square. A bigger TV would have been appropriate for bed time viewing

This would definitely be a successful hotel in Zanzibar, however the location firmly puts it down on the list. It's about a 15 mins drive from the stone town area, and taxi prices are quite steep if your driver isn't willing to negotiate.

The hotel itself is nice, but some of the finishings are really lacking which says a lot considering it's only 4 months old. The washrooms are good but you need to wait about 20 minutes for the hot water to heat up. Also, Wi-Fi wasn't working for the majority of the stay. When we asked the front desk they said they would restart the router but nothing changed. They could have offered us complimentary breakfast for this inconvenience but they chose not to. We would not visit again.

An overall opinion would definitely be two thumbs ups to this resort.
1- Great view. (We had the sea facing rooms.)
2- Comfortable rooms. (very clean as well, 5*)
3- Very friendly/ hospitable staff. (they go out of their way to help, of cos you need to ask)
4- Good location. ( 20 minutes from stone town, 7/8$ to night life, 6 degrees)
5- They have a suite with Jacuzzi if you enjoy it.

Areas of improvement could be :
1- Taste of food.
2- Slow service.

Special thanks to Mr.Boney the General manager who made sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay there. He also assisted us with local transport (GATUSO, our driver) who took us to the right night spots and also for shopping. We really felt taken care of.
Thank you guys for a memorable trip and we sure recommend this hotel.We definitely will come back.

Room tip: Request Mr.Boney for a sea facing room. IF you have a little extra budget got for the Suite with Jacuzzi.

Though the hotel is nice, but our experience didn't go so well.....we were a group of 5 and we reached the hotel at 11 AM...one room was allocated within 30-40 mins, however the other room was available only after 9 PM....when you have guests coming in why wasn't the room ready at check-in time..??
The service is very very slow....though the staff is polite and nice. And maybe their politeness and friendliness made us feel comfortable in spite of the initial disappointment. I guess they love the word "Polay-Polay" (means slowly-slowly in Zanzibar).
To reach Stone town, you can take a taxi which will cost $ 2-3 per person.
The hotel poolside has a nice sea view.....
The buffet breakfast is limited spread but nice and healthy food.

Staff was very helpful and hospitable. Rooms are very good and comfortable. We had booked 2 rooms and got one room and other room wasnt ready. Had to follow up for it. Finally we went out to the city and when we came was told the room is getting ready , finally got the room at 10:30pm!!! This was a major discomfort. The property is good, Dhow restaurant has a beautiful view. Food was good.
