From the moment we got to the hotel the staff could not do enough to help us. They really went above and beyond to make it a really magical day under tricky circumstances. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did to help our day run smoothly. Special thanks to Megan of course for organising the wedding and guiding us through everything.

We had originally booked back in February using an offer they had for a minimum of 50 people and up to 100. This all changed of course but they were incredibly flexible and we only had to pay a little bit for the venue and payed per head for guests. This saved us a lot of money and left us with an intimate event that worked amazingly.

During the day they did everything they could to help it run smoothly and make it as enjoyable as possible. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even turning off power to part of the hotel to turn some lights off so we could take better pictures with sparklers.

The entire event went better than we could have imagined with all the restrictions in place currently so we can't thank them enough.

Stayed here and was very impressed by the beautiful rooms, and lovely helpful staff. I would recommend this to anyone looking to visit local amenities in Oxford with a bus service very close to the hotel!

We stayed here last weekend and couldn't fault it! We did a package deal that included breakfast and dinner. The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The waitress that served us was especially good, she made us feel very welcome and helped us understand some of the covid rules. Will definitely return

Check in was not really friendly. No upgrade possibilities. No welcome drinks. Paid for breakfast but received a bag with poor content, given to us the evening before. Even the IBIS Southampton managed to serve fresh pastries and Porridhe during Covid - this Mercure didn't.

I am sorry your experience was not a good one and I do apologise for this.
We are working under restricted conditions currently and we have reviewed the breakfast offering and we are looking at ways to introduce a plated cooked breakfast from January 2021.
