Having had trouble with our booking at other accommodation in Bishops Castle locals at the Kings Head were absolutely fabulous and rang round and got us a room at The Castle Hotel last minute (8pm) We were made very welcome , room was great with all what you would expect, breakfast was delicious and the gardens delightful. We had an excellent stay.

This is a lovely hotel - beautifully clean, understated decor, lots of “personal touches”, very friendly staff and very good food. The generous breakfast set us up for the day! We were biking and secure storage of our bikes was no problem. We only had one night but would have happily enjoyed several more. Will definitely plan on returning or even trying the sister hotel near Oswestry

Friendly people, good food, comfortable room, lovely grounds. What’s not to like. And it’s dog friendly but that doesn’t mean tatty like some places. This is lovely. The town is also a nice place to visit and plenty of walks nearby. We loved it.

Spent lovely overnight stay here, food fab - my husband had the steak which he said was delicious. Everything was homemade including jam and marmalade at breakfast - husband had avocado on toast with poached egg and smoked salmon whilst I had Welsh rarebit. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
