The Cochon Cent Facons seems to be an institution among the french speaking Montrealers. We’ve just discovered it and it proved worth the extra miles we drove to get there. They’re basically farm shop and sell all sorts of pork meat and derivatives: fresh sausages, bacon, terrines, etc. The quality is top-notch: Everything is fresh (well, safe the sausages which are often frozen), you can even see through the door behind the counter how they cut the large chunks.
That day we were late and could not get fresh ground meat and the only fresh sausages were white ones. However, we got an excellent terrine au cognac and a XXL-sized tomahawk chop from Nagano pork. Both proved delicious.
BTW, no need to hit the road to enjoy their pork, they deliver to Montreal (single pick-up point, though).
