I contacted the venue before we left, and then confirmed a day to visit once in Tuscany, as visits are by appointment only. This is a lovely formal garden, with orchards, olive grove, topiary, rose garden (partly called the English Garden) and a remarkable walk up to a feature called the romitorio - up being the important word, as there are 300 steps. Lovely visit in great weather; butterflies, bird song and fragrance, and virtually no-one else there. Heaven!
