We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Motor Sports Travel package (Mugello MotoGP). It is immaculate. The rooms, buildings and grounds are extremely well kept and it shows.
We had a room upgrade as it was our honeymoon, and it was the Il Bosso room (305), stunning.
Food in the main restaurant was very good, and service was excellent. Recommend the Pasta with Aubergine, basil and tomato sauce, or the Pasta with Clams. Both were delicious. The Chianti, well it's Chianti what's not to like.
The food in the bar area was good too. As was breakfast, plenty of choice. The Chef made us perfect poached eggs.
There is a nice swimming pool in the grounds. We didn't have time to try it but it looked inviting and clean.
If you want a nice quiet location for a peaceful short stay of relaxation then this is perfect. If you intend to use it as a base while you go off into Florence to explore, it is also perfect, and you have a taste of luxury when you return to base. The heart of Florence is a 20 minute drive so it's really not that far. I believe there is a shuttle bus service that runs fairly frequently.
Really do recommend this hotel.More
