a huge fund of information in several languages, great displays and models. It will be complete when the actual boat is fully restored and on display.

The museum, just few meters from the famous Comacchio bridge is small but the contents are amazing. Thanks to the mud, all the vessels contents have been incredibbly well preserved, so it is possible to see shoes and other leather artifacts which are really super rare to see anywhere else. Also, the six small lead-made altars are absolutely unique. It is magic.

This museum is very unassuming but worth a visit to understand what has been recovered from a boat found in the canal dating back to Roman times. There is an interesting video/film that accompanies the tour.
