We loved our time in this agriturismo, largely due to the excellent service and attention paid by the owner Jacopo and his family. The setting is amazing with views over the Umbrian valley. Our room was large and comfortable and the AC worked well. The building is a restored hunting lodge from medieval times.
There are comfortable places to sit outside (some shaded!) around the property. I loved sitting near the pool and watching the crowd of butterflies swarming around the lavender.
As mentioned in the previous reviews, the meals served are amazing!! The homemade yoghurt at breakfast was especially good. At dinner, carafes of wine were refilled as needed. At the multi-course dinner, everything was so good that we ate it all and were really full. Most of the ingredients are locally produced on Jacopo’s family farm and cooked by his grandmother.
Jacopo asks that you ”treat this as your home.” That kind of message is often heard but we knew that Jacopo really meant it and he followed through with everything we asked.
The agriturismo is about a mile or so out of town on a small road. There are hiking trails nearby. The nearby town of Spello was the most charming small town that we visited in Umbria - lovely streets and alleys full of flowers, beautiful views, cute shops and great restaurants.More
