Just try this friendly place it is placed close to Vesuvio and has a brillant host. The location is maybe not the best, but place it self is perfect, walk down to the city and see something different than the normal roads with tourist shops - here you will see local lives take the chance

This is a higher end B&B, so you should expect your booking to be managed by the family who live in the property. The rooms were large and had excellent views, one side up Vesuvius and the other over the Bay of Naples. The rooms and property were kept spotlessly clean and plenty of toiletries were available. Tea, coffee and a small buffet breakfast were included in the price. The facilities include pool and chairs, car parking and private gated entrance to the property. Giuseppe is a very engaging host who can make recommendations on what to do and where to go. If you don't have a car, he will shuttle you to town, although we had our own rental car so we didn't take up his offer. We travelled as a family with young children which wasn't a problem, but the property aspect is also very good for a romantic getaway or retirement holiday.

Room tip: The Bay of Naples side looks magnificent

I have tried to postpone my booking because of a recent heart attack and the medical advice was that i should not fly that soon after surgery. i contacted the owner Guiseppe direct to explain this, a full 10 weeks before our booking was due, asking to see if we could move our booking to March next year, this fell on deaf ears, so that means Villa Nunzia has taken £165 for doing nothing except inputting one booking into their system.

We arrived to our accommodation late in the evening but had no issues checking-in and were offered guidance by our host so we would find the place faster once we got off the highway. There were also signs pointing the right way. The city didn't look like much at night and I don't think it's safe to walk at night in the area. The villa had a good security system though, which made us feel safe. There is a big parking area in the backyard and a pool in front of the villa which we were told can be used at any hour day or night. As we arrived around 11PM and were hungry, we asked for directions to a nearby restaurant, but our host insisted to cook pasta for us. We accepted and were very happy with the home cooked meal. Generous portions for a good price. The room was big and clean. He was putting a lot of efforts in renovating the place so we expect the villa to look really nice next time we visit. Right at the bottom of Mount Vesuvius, which is one of the reasons we chose this place. Our host was also helpful in telling us a bit about the history of Ercolano and told us what else we should visit in the area.

Room tip: Top floor rooms seemed to be updated

we stopped to ask if a room was available. They were full but spent a half hour helping us find somewhere to stay. This hotel is very well appointed with pool and great views. The manager was amazing- so kind and helpful. A great find in an area close to Herculaneum ruins and 30 min away from Pompeii. Safe and comfortable.
