As the sun starts setting, these cute little creatures make their way back to home, from a hard day's work at sea

Coming in groups of 5 - 15, they display a great sense of companionship and purpose. Watching them parade back in their natural surrounding is a sight to behold.

- we took the general seats which unfortunately provide a limited visibility of the 'parade'. Plus certain guests just refuse to sit and obey the rules, blocking the views for everyone behind
- do stay back to watch them play around the side boards. That's the real fun part. It will push you back by 30-45 minutes getting back to Melbourne, but highly recommended

We went on wet night, luckily when we arrived the kids could run around the top deck (it wasn't raining then) before heading into the under ground viewing area. Saw lots of penguins, great view and worth the extra $$ to stay dry and get a good view without the over crowding.

We bought the 'plus' tickets at AUD50 each that allowed us to sit at the section nearer the parade "entry". According to the lady who sold us the tickets, 60% of the penguins will walked past that section. We were not disappointed. Indeed we managed to see many penguins coming up the shore in batches and they were just walking past where we sit.

My friends bought the basic tickets at AUD25 previously. According to her, while she sat at a section slightly further away, she also managed to see many penguins.

We need to be seated (free seating) at 6pm though the penguins will only arrived at 7plus. It was very windy and cold. Do bring a thick jacket and perhaps a bottle of hot coffee with you when you go.

Unbelievable! So enjoyed the parade, in the outside premium seating area, as they crossed the stream in front of us and waddled & hopped up the path toward the hills. Facility is top-notch, obviously continuously improving the guest experience while ensuring the safety of the penguins (no photography). Loved how the guests were "parted" to allow one penguin near the top of the path to cross to the other side. Dress warmly, even having a blanket, and possibly, a seat cushion as it can be a long wait.

Love to see the smallest blue penguin in their own habitat. We bought the underground viewing and happy to see the penguins up close when they went back home. The ranger, Sabrina, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She let us pat the dummy penguin and feel their real feathers. The penguins are cute and I feel sorry for them because they have a hard life to get up everyday around 4am to start hunting and go back around 6pm, with all the risk of not going back because of predators and others. But the convervation is very successfull to build up the colony up to 32k penguins at the moment. They are non profit organisations who depends on tourism to get the funding for researchers and the teams, so we are supporting them when we come and if possible please donate for them. Thank you :)
