Lovely hotel comprising a number of 2 and 3-floor buildings.
Hotel pools very cold in october (24deg?). But the beach is nearby, just down 39 steps, and is a lovely small cove with gorgrous, warm, smooth, clear sea.
Rooms clean, decent size with kitchenette with Fridge.
Aircon for livingroom and bedroom.
Amazing (surreal) pool and spa under reception area, in a man-made cave/large rock pool.
Food is really good - a varied buffet which always has chips. The chefs take real pride in the presentation of the food - for lunch there is one and dinner there are 2 counters serving different food prepared in front of you by pairs of chefs - tasty food beatifully presented. And for dinner there is a chef-presented dessert with the same degree of care.
Lots of cats around the place - friendly.
Really good children's play park (grass) with the children's club on the edge of the play area. Adriana ran an excellent kids club - our kids have never been so keen to go to a kids club before.
The whole site feels very safe for kids.
I'm sure we will return!

Room tip: all are good.

Had a wonderful week at Malama beach holiday village! Can’t fault anything, food excellent with a huge choice which was freshly cooked, staff were very friendly and location perfect. Great for kids, Adrianna the kids club lady was superb, our girls ages 5 & 10 loved her. The nightly shows were enjoyable also! Thanks for a great week Malama, miss you already

Reviews can make or break any hotel but at the end of the day its how you yourself find the place so I tend not to focus too much on the negative ones - but as this was a very belated honeymoon for my wife we researched long and hard to find somewhere that suited what we wanted for this time of year (October) and ticked all the boxes and Malama did that and then some and we were certainly not disappointed with our choice.

Before I give my review may I first start by thanking Malama's very appointed guest relations staff member - Alexia - she was and is an absolute susperstar in every sense of the word and without her our holiday wouldnt have happened - we were caught up in the whole Monarch fiasco and lost our whole holiday a week before we were due to leave. Not only did she kindly honour our reservation while we frantically searched for new flights but made sure once we got there that we were well looked after - a beautiful woman who offers the kind of caring service that makes you want to go back to the hotel again.

Guests were a mixture of Russian, German, Greek, French and many more including an awesome Swede called Peter and his lovely partner with whom I had many conversations about all manner of things including Monty Python :-)

Now onto the hotel - we were staying in a 1 bedroom garden suite (block 25) and the room was perfect - seperate living and sleeping areas with flatscreen tv, cooking and coffee making facilities and a bathroom with bathtub which the wife was more than happy with. It was huge but meant that there was plenty of space.

The food - what can I say that hasnt already been said before...absolutely fantastic and then some - the show cooking stations were great and even as a fussy eater I found myself eating food I'd never even touched before especially seafood. I was torn between the Med Grill and Mango Cuisine station on most nights sometimes having both if the choice was too hard to make. There was still a great selection in the main restaurant though so I looked forward to lunch and dinner times every day. Restaurant staff were excellent too and my son loved his daily chats with them. Very attentative and always on hand to make sure you had a healthy supply of drinks to go with your meal.
We also dined one lunchtime at the Seaview Restaurant down by the pool area which was a nice change and were served a selection of grilled meats, with varying accompaniments which was also very very good and the children had a selection of meals they could choose from too.

The pool area was also a revelation in terms of how a hotel "should" run this area. On arriving we were allocated our sunbeds and towels for the whole stay which made so a hassle free time - its a model that works and maybe something all other hotels should and could learn from - I spoke to the member of staff about it and he said it certainly stopped all the argueing and was easy to monitor. Only gripe I had was that it didnt stop a German family from taking our towels on the first day when we'd literally only gone for lunch...quite bizarre. The pools were kept spotlessly clean and the lifeguards on call were a good pair of lads.

On either side of the Pools were two bars - Seaview bar being the main one and the quieter "Bay" bar about 100m away which was quieter.
The bars were a stark contrast to one another - Seaview staff were a mixed bunch - some like Christina and the young lads working it were very polite, happy and quick to serve but a few of the older staff could be contankerous and totally ignore you in favour of paying customers - not an issue and we tended to frequent the quieter Bay bar which Christinia also worked at in the mornings and the fabulous "Johnny" the Dane held fort at until midnight - he was another member of staff I'd like to single out for praise as he was great with my son and set little puzzles to keep him amused at various times!

Now onto the beach - although its not directly connected or owned by Malama (Cypriot Authorities own and run the beaches so a daily charge of €2.50 is in place for sun loungers) the beach was stunning and great for young children as its sandy and very shallow. Also great for snorkelling too. Water was also the warmest I have ever encountered while in the Med - more astonishing for the fact it was mid October. Having said that we had a couple of days where it was very windy and the fcalm mill pond like waters soon turned into wave after wave crashing in and they put up the red flag to advise caution.

Back to the hotel - our son had a fabulous time at the kids club which ran from 10-12 and also 3-5pm although he only every went to one session a day. Adriana was fab with the kids and did something different with them every day. My son certainly looked forward to going every day!

While aformentioned son was at kids club it gave the wife and I chance to check out the fitness and spa facilities the Malama had to offer...the gym is the best equipped I have experienced in 20 years of Med holidaying. It was everything needed to have a great workout whether cardio or weights be your thing and just afforded me that 60 minutes of "me time" I needed a day. We also used the Spa facilities - jacuzzi, steam & sauna rooms and also the indoor pool - a serene environment which is sometimes something you need - a little quality time for just the two of you.

So to summarise after that long review - best parts...all of it - a truly fabulous holiday
Negatives - nothing - although it did absolutely pour down with rain on the last evening I was quite happy cos it was surreal to have rain in Cyprus.

Would I go back? In a heartbeat - cant wait to go back!

Great hotel, great staff, great food, great everything!

Room tip: We stayed in Block 25 which was spot on.

Just got back from a very enjoyable 10 days holiday with our 3 year old granddaughter. We arrived late evening and the hotel has thoughtfully left a cold buffet and fruit in the Appartment fridge. The accommodation was nice and clean and always kept spotless by the cleaner. After breakfast we went down to the pool area to arrange for sun beds for our 10 day stay. The pool staff were very helpful and to have reserved sun beds is a very good idea.
The all inclusive catering was varied and of excellent quality and complemented by professional and friendly staff.
During the day and evening drinks etc were supplied by the poolside bar and here again the staff were excellent.
There is a mini disco and entertainment Mon-Sat which is organised to involve the children as much as possible.
We recognised plenty of Malama staff from our previous visit. The management give you a questionnaire at the end of your stay and one question is to nominate your favourite member of staff who impressed you during the stay.To be honest I should have nominated all of them !!
If you want to watch sports on TV then you need to leave Malama and have a short walk to the pubs in Kapparis and I would recommend Tony’s Cyprus Tavern which also has a very good playground.
In summary Malama staff know how to cater for their guests ( thanks again ) in a way that is difficult to beat .😎😎😎

Me and my husband spent a wonderful 10 days in Malama. We really liked the hotel - it was all very well maintained, beautiful garden and the staff was very friendly. The rooms consist of a spacious living room with a small, but well equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised to find an ironing board with an iron in the room. There is also a small terrace with a table and a couple of chairs. We were happy with the regular cleaning of the room. There were, however, a couple of small issues that I can point out, like for example the fact that you can't adjust the air conditioner separately for the two rooms, because there is only one setting for both rooms and you can't select different temperatures for the different rooms. There is no drain in the bathroom, so no matter how careful you are, the floor always will get wet and it is smpossible to dry it out. We were all inclusive concept. The food was delicious, you could always find something you like for lunch or dinner. The breakfast perhaps lacks a little bit of variety given the hotel's star rating. I would like to see a little bit more choice in the dairy and fruits department. I can't comment on the alcohol since we never drink anything besides a beer, but we didn't like the soft drinks that they serve – soda, fanta, cola etc- they were tasteless and they seemed watered down. What impressed us most was the staff, which consists entierely of very kind and friendly people. I am sorry that I couldn't learn the names if the people who were cleaning the rooms, but we thank them a lot! The animation team really impressed us - Eddie, Adriana and Miro. Eddie mainly takes care of the teenagers, but she never passed us up without greeting us. She learned that we are from Bulgaria, so she used as much bulgarian words as she know in our conversations, which was very kind. Miro was in charge of entertaining the adults and he was always in constant contact with us, making sure that we were having a good time. Adriana - the girl from the kid's club – really was very a possitive and cheerful person. The kids seemed to like her a lot and the parrents were very happy with the way she was keeping them always entertained and doing something. They also took care of the good mood of the guests after the evening show .We would like to thank Andri from the restaurant, which was a very, very nice and genially girl. Also a big "thank you" to Yoana from the restaurant as well - it seems that this girl was born with a smile on her face. Iva, Jouhn and the others girls and boys from the pool bar must also be mentioned! Overall we had a really calm and relaxing stay at the hotel !
