Stayed September for 2 weeks, staff are wonderful, we had a superior sea view room and saw some wonderful sunrises. We had our wedding here, perfect for a private ceremony, Thank you Eva for being our witness.
Supermarket across the road if anything is needed.
The food in the restaurant could have been warmer,
We have booked already to return next September for our 1st wedding anniversary.

We returned from this hotel on the 28th Oct having had a week in the sun. On arrival this hotel doesn't have a welcoming look. The main entrance looks to have more in common with a hospital and there certainly wasn't a "Wow, this looks good" feeling. The reception staff, along with all other staff are friendly and welcoming and did their best to make sure you enjoy the stay. Our room (209) was light and airy and although the bathroom was a little on the small side, it served its purpose. However, the corridors of the hotel, all painted white most of which were bashed about and in need of redecoration coupled with the dated blue carpet, were more reminiscent of a 1970's office block rather than a supposedly 4 star hotel. The food was good with a wide variety of choices and again the restaurant staff always greeted us with a handshake and led you to our table.
The grounds of the hotel, in our opinion, were in drastic need of some care and attention. The large grassed area resembled a worn out football pitch, the ground was uneven and vast areas were devoid of any grass and what grass there was obviously had not been cut for several weeks. The hotel is located on the waters edge but the beach immediately outside is not suitable for sunbeds as it is only a few feet in depth and surrounded by very slippery rocks. There is a nearby beach only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel but this is a Public Beach and you have to pay for Sunbeds.
We had booked a 'Partial Seaview' room and on arrival we wondered why we had bothered. Our partial view was across the hotel car park. We roughly calculated that there were around 18-20 rooms in the hotel which had no view of the sea, the remainder would either have a full or partial sea view, therefore, if we decided to go again to this hotel, we would take a chance on being allocated a sea view room on arrival rather than pay £60-70 when booking.
We stayed on an 'All Inclusive' package so everything was catered for. For quests on other deals there is very little directly outside the hotel, one Pub/restaurant and a couple of supermarkets. All other eateries are a short cab ride away.
This was our 2nd trip to a Sensimar Atlantica in Cyprus since July this year and from both experiences we have decided that we will not be returning to Cyprus again. We have stayed in several others in and around the Greek Islands and they honestly leave those in Cyprus in the shade, this hotel and the other we have visited simply do not come up to the true standard. If it had not been for the staff and the fact that we had only booked a week, we would almost certainly have asked to be moved to another hotel.

Dear Stephen,

Thank you for sharing your experience in staying in our hotel.

I would like in brief comments to say that we have finalised the renovation plan for this winter, which includes most of the aspects that you have mentioned.

All beaches in Cyprus are public and therefore you need to pay an extra fee for sunbeds and umbrellas. Partial Sea View rooms overlook the small bay next to the hotel and the car park. Should you wish to have a front sea view room, you have to book one. These rooms are subject to availability if you request one. Usually these rooms are occupied continuously, therefore it is better to book one via our partner tour operators, rather than requesting one.

I would like to thank you for your constructive comments and be sure that most of them will be fulfilled during the winter.

We would like to welcome you again to our hotel, should you return to Cyprus. I believe that the hotels in Cyprus are in a very very good standard in comparison to other hotels that I have visited as well in other countries.

Best regards from Protaras

The hotel, food and staff were amazing, we stay 5 star plus hotels and the standard of this one couldn't be faulted. We was staying in August so a busy time sunbeds we're available busy around pool, but plenty around the grass area. I'm not sure where the couple below stayed but clearly they didnt stay at this hotel. We loved the friendliness of this hotel the entertainment was OK, not what our choice would have been but the food choices were brilliant. There is a different menu for the Al La carte restaurant. The hotel is not outdated in anyway, rooms are lovely nice and spacious. We went to our best friends wedding and it was amazing, the staff were brilliant very attentive. The only thing that I could fault about this place was not having a beach area, and having to come home. We all had a fantastic time a group of 8 of us and no complaints.

The beach area just next to the hotel and it is shared from us and the neighbouring hotel. There is an extra cost however for sunbeds and umbrellas, as all beaches in Cyprus are controlled from the state.

We look forward to welcoming you again in our hotel.

First visit to this hotel and indeed Cyprus, what a find. Arrived very late due to delayed flight(more about flights later)but effortless pass through reception and bags delivered to room. Sandwiches and fruit juice in fridge and plentiful tea/coffee + bottle of fizz/bowl of fruit and card on table as it was our Ruby wedding anniversary, nice touch.
Room was ample size with fridge, free safe, plenty of toiletries supplied and throughout our stay an endless supply of tea/coffee etc+ bottle of water every day. Balcony with table and two chairs on which we were lucky enough to have sun all day.
We found plenty of sun loungers although we noticed over the period we were there the bed possession freaks made their presence felt with the early morning towels/lilo's and for the first time ever someone had even had a 'reserved'notice made. This, although the hotel states that towels etc. placed before 9am will be removed. Luckily there were no shortage of beds but it's my pet hate and I wander if these people were deprived when young and become possessive.
The food was absolutely fantastic with endless choices at all meal times which included various soups, hot dishes, salads, deserts, fresh fruit and cheese board along with chef stations. Drinks orders were taken as you were seated and tea/coffee machine available at all meal times. There were also snack stations between meals but we never needed them as main meals were so good. There is also snacks later in the main bar so anyone who cannot find something to eat at this hotel has,in my opinion a problem. There is an a la carte restaurant that you get one free visit to that I can highly recommend where menu is limited but the presentation is first class
There are two bars where the service and staff are wonderful with various cocktails, spirits and three draught beers including Carlsberg although my preference was the local Keo.
A very nice touch is at about 10am bottles of iced water are brought to your sunbed and later mini magnum ice creams. There is drinks service to your sunbed but there is also a swim up bar where you can sit and have a drink.
I would like to mention all the staff as they were all excellent but the ones I found we interacted with and who also gave great advice as well as service were(in no particular order)Kostas,Mark,Spyros and of course Maureen and Joanna.
Would we return,certainly
Now the down side and nothing to do with the hotel but definitely to do with tui. The only flights we were offered were late and outward flight was delayed which was bad but not disastrous. The return flight however almost succeeded in ruining the whole holiday. I now rank Lanarca airport as the worst airport I have ever had the misfortune to travel through. Late at night with over a thousand people crammed into Disney style zigzag queues with little or no air conditioning and several x-rays etc closed.
In all we were two hours from joining the line to heading to our gate. It is quicker if you are non EU as we noticed Russian passengers(saw their passports) who were three lines behind (200 people)before immigration were four lines(300+)ahead after so had gained over 500 places. Advice to anyone, take water into queue and bin any remaining at x-Ray.
Tui must know this problem but must be cheaper flight slots.
