Interesting and different looking hotel with good meeting facilities. Rooms spacy and from upper floors with good view over l'Hospitalet area outside city centre of Barcelona - subway to city centre just close by. Food for congress participants was really tasty. Service by the personnel was friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms from certain rooms from upper floors give a nice view to the sea.

Dear guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for choosing the hotel Porta Fira to stay during your last visit to the city of Barcelona.

As you told we have a very good location because we are situated in a business and quiet area between the airport and the city center and we are very well communicated by public transport. It is very nice to hear that you liked the special design of our red building. The hotel was built and designed by the famous japanese architect Toyo Ito and it was awarded in 2010 as the best skyscraper in the world.

We are also pleased to hear that you found our rooms very nice, spacious and with an amazing views to the city of Barcelona. We also thank you for the comments you did about our meeting facilities, our tasty food and about our friendly and helpful staff.

Everyone in the large hotel staff was very accommodating. Mario at the front desk spoke perfect english, and took the time to personalize our vacation. The breakfast in this hotel is possibly the best we have had, in all of our travels!

Room Tip: We knew that the location was on the outskirts of town. It still did take a bit of time to get acclimated to taking a train and then catching a metro.

A very good hotel with a beautiful design located next door to the convention center.

The staff at the reception was simply great, I was lucky enough to be served by Mathilde who was very professional and answered all my questions. This really makes the difference in such hotel.

The rooms are well designed and quite with all needed furniture. The ironing station can be ordered from the reception.

A great stay, I will definitely come back!

Polite and friendly staff.

The room was big, airy and clean. It was a shame that there wasn’t more natural light. The bed sheets smelt of stale cigarette smoke which wasn’t very pleasant.

Room service was quick and good apart from the omelette being very salty.

There was a large selection at breakfast.

Friendly stuff, big rooms, fabulous breakfast, no pool, no metro nearby, plenty nice restaurants in the area. After all a good value for money. Big shopping center in walking distance in case you need to buy something. Barcelona downtown is only 12-15 euros away if you choose uber. Local taxi will rip you for double price.
