This quiet, breathtakingly beautiful restored stone farmhouse was the perfect 'retreat' and central location (360 degree view of the surroundings!) for touring during the day (Ravenna, Cesenatico, Brisighella...) and relaxing in the beauty and pure air. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared by Barbara, and if you choose you can rent an 'apartment' and cook for yourself (if you want this, be sure to specify you want the kitchen). We were slightly early for the pool to be open, BUT hope to return and enjoy tha as well with it's lovely view of the farms, hills, and coast in the far distance. VERY clean, very welcoming--a wonderful spot for solo traveler/couples/ families, or even a small retreat (up to 20). We were on the second floor and enjoyed a view of the sheep and sunset. The king sized bed was super-comfortable, with lovely antique furnishings, tile floor, and private bath.

Room Tip: I think any room would be quiet and comfortable! We loved hearing the sheep in the morning on the SE side.

We enjoyed our stay. Our apartment was about two miles by car from the main farmhouse, so a car was essential. We were eight total guests, six in the farmhouse. Our apartment was furnished in what Americans would call shabby chic, except for the bathroom, which was quite modern and fancy. This apartment would accommodate a family with three children easily. The kitchen is modern and the dining table is ample. We ate four dinners. They were a bit disappointing, though our six friends, who are mostly of Italian descent, praised them as typical and delicious. At twenty euros per person, including good wine, they were a good value. Barbara was very helpful in accommodating food restrictions. The owners' dogs were an added bonus! A car is essential, as the location is a bit far from town.

Room Tip: All rooms are similar. Apartment is ideal for a family.

The one-week stay was great. We were two couples, each with a little child. The stay had everything: an amazing view, a great pool, very nice people, ... You can also enjoy the cooking skills of Barbara if you like. And the company of Bèbè, the sheep.

The pool is surrounded by a fence, very interesting when you're travelling with children. And oh yeah, there's also a jacuzzi, a must-do when the sun is down and all you see are stars... :-)

Had a ten-day holiday here, first visit to Emilia Romagna. Amazing location with beautiful views in all directions, plenty of excellent walks among vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. Accommodation very clean and functional with original furniture and plenty of history everywhere. Bedrooms could do with a ceiling fan when the temperature rises, but otherwise sleeping was a joy. Food prepared by Barbara was better than anything we found in nearby restaurants, and would definitely recommend trying it - you won't regret it. Swimming pool was large and thoroughly cleaned every day, with plenty of sunbeds, but a few more umbrellas are needed as the pool area soon gets extremely hot during the day. However, the farmhouse gardens provide plenty of shade under the beautiful trees. Lovely welcome from the owners

We (family of mother, father and 2 children of 13 & 15 yrs) stayed at Ca de Gatti for one week this July.
It was a wonderful week: the apartment, the room, the view, swimming pool, the animals, the food, and last but not least Barbara & Roberto for their warm hospitality, perfect cooking and local specialties.
