My partner and I stayed here 9-15th January 2020. We had booked for 6 nights on all inclusive basis in a double superior room with a balcony. The premises were a little difficult to find because it was signed as “Soleil Vacances” and not Hotel Club Residences Valfrejus as stated on the booking from Sunweb. Their is an open complimentary car park to the side of the hotel with wide spaces for most cars. The staff without exception are all very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We arrived an hour before official check in and were told our room was ready and we could gain access to it straight away! On checking in all paperwork and all inclusive wrist bands were present with no fuss or delay. A personal guided tour of all the facilities and timing of certain things were given in English and all questions that arose were answered. Their are three lifts and using a combination of them means all floors can be accessed. The room (room number 406) was well appointed with a fridge which had two complimentary cans of Pepsi, a can of Perrier and a bottle of water. A separate toilet and a bathroom with a small bath tub with shower and a sink, soaps, towels and shampoo. Plenty of wardrobe space and an inbuilt safe. As to the amenities in the hotel. Brunch is served from 07:30-13:00 daily, afternoon tea 16:30-17:30 and dinner 19:00-2100. All food was on a buffet basis with plenty of variation of cold and hot bits everyday. This is not a fine dining experience but tasty none the less and as much as you want. The hotel actively encourage you to make a packed lunch so that you can have something on the slope. Very nice touch! Soft drinks, beer, wine and coffee are offered from 10:00-22:00 on a self serve basis. Between 12:00-13:30 and 18:30-22:00 house spirits are offered from the bar.

The hotel has the benefit of a small cold but not unbearable pool and a sauna. Ski locker room has plenty of professional storage racks for skis and boots. You access this room both internally and externally. Internal access is with out ski boots on. Externally involves about 15 steps. What is a ski holiday with out some steps in those magnificent ski boots!

The location is not quite ski in and out as to access the slope you have to walk 150m to join a run to the bottom gondola to access the main slopes. Not a difficult or tiring walk.

The town centre is easily accessed with a 5 minute walk utilising purpose built stairs and walkways.

Our thoughts. We would definitely come back here again! We skipped breakfast for early skiing and then return for midday for lunch with wine. Ski again and back for afternoon tea. The lifts start at 09:00 and finish at 16:00 so worked well with the hotel dining times. The owner is always available and very amenable to a chat. By the end of the vacation we felt that we were in some way part of the hotel family which in our opinion is terrific! This is a very family orientated and dog friendly accommodation were all are welcome.More
