It had been a long time since we had visited The Horse and Farrier, having been put off by the previous owners and staff. This time we walked in to a pleasant welcome and a good selection of beers. The new owners have done a great job of reviving the decoration of the place with a "cool" modern look, making interesting use of all sorts of rustic and recycled timber....go and have a look, it's hard to explain.
We booked late for an evening meal on a Friday but had no problem getting a table, however I do not think this will be the case for long as the food was excellent. The staff are all new and enthusiastic and I am sure that the service, which was pleasant and friendly, will become equally excellent with time.
We will definitely be going again, see you there?

Great welcome and the food matched. Beautiful lamb rump with a great selection of beers. Sat in the bar with our black lab Ralph, who was made just as welcome as us

This pub was recommended to us by a couple we met at another restaurant. We were welcomed by the friendly staff as soon as we arrived and directed to a table. We both had the lamb loin which was very tasty.
A lovely pub with lovely food and very friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend

This was a brilliant find that we found quite by accident and really pleased that we did. The owner explained that it had recently been renovated and taken over at some point in the recent past and its great. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, they have a choice of local beers which were excellent and a superb menu and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the lovely surroundings and will certainly be back.

This pub has very recently been refurbished and re-opened. There's a lovely warm atmosphere and everyone was very helpful and enthusiastic. The four of us had a great meal and would definitely make a point of going back the next time we were in the area.
