All were ok, good location as its in the middle near to GPO, gohtong jaya, petron also but the wifi was not strong, couldn't loud youtube and others but if you willing to spend quality time without wifi definitely a place to good, rooms were ok but abit old fashionedMore

Taking safety measures
The hotel is under renovation during our check in during Xmas day. My gal is a bit disappointed with the facility provided. The in door car park also a bit arbitary. No proper direction given since a few entrance is blocked. Only Rajawali Restaurant available and we drive out to Gohtong Jaya for our lunch and dinner. A lot facilities not available during the stay due to renovation.

Pros:
- Near to Genting Premium Outlet (GPO)
- Free shuttle van available between GPO and resort. Available every 30 minutes.
- Room has balcony. Nice scenery and very cooling.
- Bathtub available
- Many room basic amenities available
Cons:
- Overall look of resort and room are dated. Should be about time to refurbish.
- Even though shuttle bus to/from GPO and resort is available every 30 minutes, it doesn't specify what time it will be at each location a.k.a time at GPO and resort. Inform by front desk that from resort at every xx.10 am/pm and xx.40 am/pm. Should put a clear timetable.
- No internet available in room.
- No free or flat rate parking fee for resort guest.

Old resort, first room's flush didn't work and shower head was leaking. Reception didn't seem surprised and changed our room immediately, new room was as aged as the first one.
Guests driving should know that parking is a max of RM17 daily, and is not covered by the hotel - ridiculous.

We haven't been to Awana hotel for many years, we booked 3 rooms, stayed on the 14th floor, rooms were run down, the sliding door cannot open, my children room window cannot open. Bed and pillow were a little uncomfortable. No facial tissue paper in the tissue box. Surely the room maintenance are very bad and the management should relook into better maintenance of it i.e. window, sliding doors etc....
Restaurant doesn't serve buffet breakfast anymore due to the current RMCO, basically you have no place to eat in this hotel except for planned breakfast cost RM36 per person. We drove down to Gotong Jaya for breakfast and as for dinner we took a cable car to Genting Highland. Up there you have many restaurants to choose.
Every 1/2 hrs, shuttle bus is provided from the hotel to the cable car station / Genting premium outlet shopping centre. You can go to the Genting premium outlet to do your shopping, a lot of branded goods with good prices. The cable car station to Genting Highland is also in the same place.
Awana is in the middle of the mountain, noting much you can expect except playing golf... and some outdoor activities.

Quick trip to Genting Highlands with my besties. Traffic from KL to Gentings was pretty smooth. Enjoyed the scenic mountain range. Took a picnic there and loved every minute of time spent with my gals. Doing this with my besties after 30-odd years.
