Amazing experience. But be careful about your glasses, it is necessary to thoroughly rinse them with a stream of water, do not turn

Find the road that takes you to the very top, where the trucks in the pit look like ants. Think of the sculptures and beauty mined here. Fill your mind with every great artist whose work began with this stone and you'll believe in God.

This is a trip up to a marble quarry (we didn't get taken to any caves). You are driven up on very twisty tracks to the site, high on the mountain, where quarrying takes place. The guide explains to you how marble is cut and moved, the different types of marble, the cost etc. It is a fascinating insight into this industry. The trip last for about 30 minutes. It was very hot on the day we visited (35C) - it was just as hot up the mountain (no breeze). Wear suitable footwear - you don't have to clamber around on rocks but it is very dusty (white marble dust) so your shoes will be covered!
