This property is situated on a non-descript street just outside of the historic center of Tlaquepaque. While the employees go out of their way to be helpful (and the front desk and bar staff are fluent in at least English and Spanish), providing extended luggage and parking service on the days of check-in/check-out, and the complimentary breakfast was very good and filling, there are enough cons to make me certain that I would not return to this hotel. The Jacuzzi was not warm when we arrived and even after we gave it the requisite 45 min. to warm up, it was tepid at best. (Honestly, I wouldn't even be comfortable in bath water that temperature). The shower did not heat up on our first night, either, although it did the next day. The free drinks, although delivered by a friendly bartender, were the absolute worst we have had. (A mojito consisting mostly of club soda and mint, which was blended together; a margarita with what tasted like "fire water." Certainly not made with a tequila one would associate with Mexico). There were lights in our room that didn't work; there was not a clothing iron, and wi-fi in our room was spotty at best. (I tried without success to listen to a podcast before bed). The bedrooms were clean and the bed was comfortable but the decor was dated. Not worth it. I'm not quite sure of the enchantment people have with this hotel, but it was not the kind of dream I like to have.

A++ Hotel highly recommend this place. Very peaceful, clean, and very honest personnel. The location is walking distance from main shops and restaurants. We had forgotten money after checking out and it was returned to us. All of the staff were friendly and polite.

I stayed only one night here (after relocating from a noisy hotel in Guadalajara) and it was just lovely.

The building itself is beautiful and restful. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, especially Carlos at the bar and the breakfast guys (breakfast is delicious!).

Takes 5 mins to walk to the centre of Tlaquepaque (close enough to come home for swims and coffee between shopping). I highly recommend this boutique hotel!

We stayed at La Villa Del Ensueño over this past holiday weekend for 3 days/2 nights. From the moment we pulled up in our rental vehicle, we were immediately greeted by an employee with a smile! He came out to help us with our bags and he even parked our rental car for us.

Our check in time wasn’t until 3pm but we arrived around 8am hoping we might be able to check in early by 12pm. To our surprised we were able to check in by 9am - at no additional charge!

Our hotel stay included complimentary breakfast, and first day it was buffet style and the second day you got a menu you could order from. I ordered the chilaquiles the second day and they were amazing!

We thought the hotel style and decor was pretty cool. We thought our rooms were pretty spacious (we got multiple rooms since it was 6 people)

We went out the first night and we didn’t get back until around 4am. We were a bit worried at first because all the doors were locked but to our surprise as soon as we rang the door bell, the door man came and opened the door for us within a few seconds

The best part is how affordable this hotel stay was. We would definitely stay here again when we visit GDL. Thank you Villa del Ensueño!
