Great hotel for adults and children. Children are well taken care of. Very friendly to the guests and children. Food is great. This was my third stay at this hotel an will come back next year for skiing. And one day we will come for a summer holiday.

Back again in hotel Loewe after spending some days in Hotel Baer.

The service is still very friendly and warm.

All staff including room cleaning is very well trained and outgoing to keep you happy.

The hotel amenities are phantastic - children will have more than enough to play and the pool area with the water world is great fun for kids.

With the new metro Station "Church" about 3 min. walk from the hotel entrance this hotel is even more attractive.

Food choice and quality is excellent
The car park has direct access to the hotel entrance (you get an access code when making the reservation) - no need to walk outside with luggage!
Quality of doors and windows is very high - virtually no noise in the rooms, despite the many children in the hotel.

Can only recommend the hotel for families.

This hotel has it absolutely right in terms of catering for the needs of a family ski holiday. The location in Serfaus is ideal - its either a nice 10 - 15 minute stroll to the cable car up to the slopes or 5 minutes in the free tube train which is on the hotel doorstop - we tended to take the train up in the morning and walk back in the afternoon.
The hotel itself is very smart; our room (a Lowen suite) was ideal for our needs and looked to have been recently refurbished - it was spotless. The suite provided plenty of space for a family of four and had lovely views beyond the church up to the ski area. My only criticisms of the room would be (1) tea and coffee making facilities would be a welcome addition and (2) why was there no hand basin the toilet?
The public areas in the hotel are equally smart and the children's facilities - pool, soft play are top draw.
Food was of a very high standard (better than i had expected) and there was plenty of variety over the week.
Its hard to put your finger on exactly what made our break so good but its something about the way the hotel manages to cater for the needs of both adults and families. We felt totally relaxed all the time we were there and the children were happy either spending time with us or going off doing their own thing - and we felt very comfortable letting them go off by themselves.
Can't finish the review without complimenting the staff either - nothing was too much trouble and they were all friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
All in all i would strongly recommend the hotel to any family skiing in the area - not sure it would work so well with older children but for pre-teens its a great choice and we hope to be back.

Everything was well-thought out and the staff was always one step ahead - from the onset with information via email prior to check in, at check in and just everything from booking onwards. The easiest, most convenient and pleasant stays ever.

Wonderful hotel located about 40 meters from the entrance to the free underground subway which you have to take up to the ski slope. For those interested, there is a place to store your skis and boots at the gondola station so you do t need to struggle with them back and forth each day - storage cost was €14 per day for family of four. Keep in mind, to get from the hotel up to the ski school (with 2 kids under 10 in tow), you’ll be looking at a 45 minute trip.

Almost all inclusive with one rather glaring shortcoming (at least for us) which was the fact there are no coffee/latte machines in the restaurant. Unfortunately, you have to ask for coffee which means you don’t always get that second cup in the morning rush to get to the ski hill/ski school since the wait staff are so busy. Coffee is free in morning, but with afternoon coffee you have to pay a pretty expensive €4.50 for a small cappuccino - tough to swallow when you’ve already forked out €4,500+ for the hotel and food for the week - add to that the fact that ski school is not included like it is at many other Kinder hotels in Austria - hmm.

The swimming pools, water playground and seater slide are fantastic and keep kids 10 and under happy for the entire week.

Food was absolutely top notch which is why I’ve included some snap shots in my review - I’m not usually a food photo guy. The other shot is from our room balcony looking up towards the ski resort in the distance - we were room #152 which was actually a great location - though the smallest room category, it was adequate for a family of 4.

One last thing (and it may be obvious) is you have to be ready for ALOT of kids - and many of the parents think the concept of kids hotel means they can leave proper parenting at home and let their kids run wild - would be nice if the hotel would step in here and politely enforce some of the rules they have posted on brochures, menus etc.

So, would I go back? Based on the hotel and food quality - absolutely yes. But the long trip up to the ski hill (including a subway ride - which by the way is infinitely better than a ski shuttle bus) leaves us on the fence...which is why I chose 4 stars instead of 5 in the end. Wish you could give 1/2 stars in this app - because this place deserves 4.5 stars.

Dear ATravelStory

Thank you very much for your warm and detailed rating. We are very glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your holidays with us and that our team has also contributed to a great stay.

Unlike most ski areas in Austria and Switzerland, Serfaus does have the smallest subway (100 meters away from the hotel) in the world. Most hotels require you to take a bus or even walk several kilometers to the gondola station. This means long waiting lines and Serfaus is known for its convenience "walk" to the gondolas.

Overall, we hope you enjoyed your stay and we all are looking forward to welcoming you again in our hotel and wish you all the best until then.
