Caprica Cheese
Ranked #1 of 226 Restaurants in Playa Blanca

This little haven is located at the quiet end of Playa Blanca, far from the crowds. It’s definitely worth seeking out as the tapas is divine.

Unusually, the chef also hosts so you have the opportunity to discuss the dishes and take note of his recommendations as he is spot on.

It’s a cheese lovers haven! The goats cheese is freshly made in the morning by Raphael the owner/chef!

While we were there, 2 couples actually said it was the best meal they’d had in Playa Blanca.

The service isn’t the quickest, if you want your tapas served instantly and wolf it down this isn’t the place for you. However, if you want a leisurely meal, in pleasant surroundings with a host who is as passionate about his art then you must seek this place out!

Well, we were looking for something different and we found it. Rafael, the owner, served us up fresh tapas cooked by himself and with a friendly explanation of the ingredients. The Camembert cheese with goats cheese was superb as were the prawn tempura and sardines. The desserts finished off the meal topped of with a peach aperitif.
Would recommend you try it when in Playa Blanca.
Not the easiest restaurant to find but well worth searching for.

We visited Caprica on the 6th of June 2018 and we were very very impressed. The owner/chef was very accommodating and we could see just how passionate he was about the food.. we could also taste it!

After chatting to the chef about the menu we ordered a selection of dishes and a cheeseboard. Everything was gorgeous, including the bottle of red wine the chef recommended to us. The restaurant was quiet on the evening we visited but this didn’t bother us, it was one of the best meals we had in Lanzarote. I hope Caprica Cheese receives all the success it deserves!

Thank you for a wonderful dinner & experience.

Simple ingredients, beautifully prepared and with bags of flavours, Caprica is a little gem of a restaurant. Don't be put off by the goats cheese, this is all home made and does not have the same tartness that northern latitude goats cheeses. We now need to come back and try the rest of the menu!

My wife and I had two great afternoons spent in this lovely little bar.
Cannot recommend it highly enough. We were made to feel right at home by the owner.
