I have had several single intermediate classes with ESC and they have always been great. All the there teachers I have met have given me new things and tips in this magnificient and challenging sport. I have also brought two my first-timer friends who have enjoyed beginner lesson.

I spent a week in the hostel including surf lessons and it was great! All the instructors are enthusiastic and make sure you really get better at surfing. The hostel rooms are clean and spacious and the cleaning lady is really nice even though she doesn't speak any english.They even gave me an upgrade free of charge to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast is good and the hostel is located in the middle of the town.
Nuno (the owner) has been very kind and patient for all my questions before I came in Ericeira! And I has been pretty good received by Isabel!
The camp is in the center and near to all good spots! (Best restaurants, bars, beaches, shops etc)
Regarding the lessons, all coachs are very pedagogical with different methods. A special thanks go to my coach Diogo, I had a lot of fun and made a lot of progress, that’s insane!
Ps: high quality of wetsuits (it is very rare)
We booked a surf lesson with Ericeira Surf Camp and had a fantastic experience! First, when we chose our equipment, the team made sure we really had wetsuits that fit us well and booties which were tight, so we would not loose them in the water. At the beach, we were given security instructions and taught different methods to get on the board. Our instructor Nuno watched our group of 4 people closely, giving each of us detailed feedback on how to improve our surfing.
We ended up booking a private session with Nuno who was truly the best surf coach I ever had! With his calm attitude, his patience and his great advice we both managed to surf several ways. We got better at controlling the board, moving on the board while surfing and pumping to get additional speed on the board. All of that happened in just 2 days!
We were really happy about the quality of the course and would definitely book it again. It is a real advantage that the instructors have really small classes and deal with each student individually. A wonderful experience at our stay in Ericeira!
I stayed at the ESC for almost a week and did the intermediate surf lessons with their surf school. It was all in all the perfect experience, all the staff members were super nice and helpful. The surf lessons with Diogo were perfect! He is such a fun and patient teacher and I learned a lot from him! I will definitely visit again and highly recommend this place :)
Me and my friend booked our first surfing camp for a week in June. This place is simply the best you can image, it is the place to be! The hostel is located in the main street of the center assuring easy accessibility at bar restaurant and every service. The staff is amazing: they are all nice and very friendly. The room are clean and cozy and the common areas are very confortable: you have tv, computer, sofa,.. they provide you with all the forniture you need to surf and there is a nice rooftop in which you can have customised yoga session.
The surf class are very well organised: compared to the majority of the other school the big advantage is that they have maximum 5/6 person at a time and this is a very big plus because you have the opportunity to take the most out of it! Surf instructors are very professional and good from a personal and technical point of view. In a couple of lessons you will definitely be staying on you board, and this is amazing! If you are thinking of coming to ericeira, this place is where you want to stay! Thank you guys for the lovely week, you made our holiday! Will definitely be back soon! S&F
