This place really surprised us! Great location - very comfortable to go to Florence (10min) and surroundings. Extremely cozy and lovely area - nice view, clean pool! The staff was very kind and welcoming! I love breakfasts on terrace! I need to add some words about our room, despite it was big and comfortable, we he our own jacuzzi in the bath! Wow! Thank you for everything!

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Hotel di sor Paolo - they made our trip truly special. We visited the local area for a friend's wedding and are so pleased we chose to stay at the Hotel. They staff could not do enough for us and we felt part of their family as soon as we arrived. Their hospitality was second to none and they have a fantastic attitude towards both their guests and their local area. Due to the busy schedule, we were unable to visit their family run restaurant but this provides us with a great opportunity to visit the family again and to experience their wonderful hotel and area again soon. Many thanks to you all.

While we were in the planning stages of our vacation a friend mentioned this hotel to us as he had stopped there to have dinner with his family in the adjoining restaurant. We decided to give it a try based on his excellent review of the restaurant and his kind words regarding Paolo, the owner. We arrived in mid June and were instantly impressed. The staff greeted us warmly and the building looks like it came out of a movie set for a Tuscan film. We had a very large room that accommodated the four of us. The bathroom was large with a comfortable shower/bath. Breakfast was served outdoors overlooking the pool. It was lovely, toast, fruit, cold cuts and homemade jams. Paolo is lovely , he was available to chat and discuss the sites that were nearby. Cristina , who is at the front desk was exceptionally helpful with restaurants and travelling instructions. Aurora, another staff member was always ready to hand us more towels, and was a pleasure to chat with and always eager to make our stay more comfortable. The restaurant is on the same grounds, just a few steps from the hotel. Paolo's son manages the restaraunt, along with other family members.
This place is a hidden gem, even our GPS didn't pick it up easily. Make sure to research your drive, we called from the road to clarify. The hotel was near many sites, we had a rental car, parking was available. This place is a 20 minute drive from Florence and provides very good access for many sites in the Chianti region (Siena, Lucca, San Gimigniano, Panzano, Pisa)...
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, some afternoons our kids had the pool all to themselves, a perfect escape after being in Rome for a week. We would definitely
stay again. It was a quiet, peaceful setting that worked out very well for our family.Exceptional value and experience.

We just returned home from a 7 nights stay at the Hotel di Sor Paolo.
We had a great and relaxing time. The hotel is a small property, well looked after and quite authentic Tuscany-stye. The owners and staff are all really nice and welcoming.
We spend a few lazy days just by the pool reading and dipping into the water, some days we went on day trips to Siena and Florence, both nearby. The adjacent restaurant (Trattoria) is nice and makes for a relaxed and somewhat romantic dinner location. We feel deeply relaxed and discovered with Sor Paolo a wonderful little place that we can recommend wholeheartedly!

Room tip: "Superior Rooms" have plenty of space, a garden if you are lucky and are on ground floor.

We needed a hotel reasonably close to the airport after a late arrival before we drove to Montepulciano the next day and this came up. A very pleasant guy welcomed us - the owner, I think and showed us to our room. The most surprising thing was that our bath was in the room and was large and made of wood like a barrel. It turned out that this was associated with special therapies and a modern bathroom was en suite.
Breakfast the next morning was outside and adequate rather than special. However, we had an opportunity to see the grounds and surroundings that were so peaceful.
