Agropoli has been inhabited for the past 4000 years and the town, located on a promontory, affords stunning panoramic views over the Thyrrenean Sea and towards the Amalfi/Salerno coastline. It's a real pleasure to meander through the narrow alleyways in the old town, to enjoy a local pizza from one of the terraces overlooking the harbour and to visit the Aragonese Castle, partly in ruins but well maintained. There was a photographic exhibition during the time of the visit.
