Me and my friend lived here for a week with semi-pension during our skiing-holidays. The rooms are simple but clean and what counts is that the location is close to great skiing (La Grave and Serre Chevalier) and randonée. Taking safety measures
We stayed here just before new year - we booked last minute on the same day so got a great deal (2 nights for £100).
We didnt eat here at all so cant comment on the food - the room was very basic, toilet, shower, bed and also a balcony. The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. i would stay here again.

Very nice family run hotel near Col Du Lautaret and great hiking and skiing in the Southern Alps of France. The hotel is located near the gondola lift to La Meije in La Grave where you can get up to the glacier and hike or mountain bike. But the best experience of the stay turned out to be a fantastic dinner made by the owner and his team. And served by very friendly staff. Worth a stay, and will be visited again.
Top hotel! After a long ride over Galibier this was everything we needed. Bike storage, comfy room with mountain views, amazing dinner in the restaurant with big portions.
The hotel is traditional style and very clean, and the owner was friendly. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Faranchin after the 6th Day of our cycling challenge, ride2monaco. The hotel was great, with amazing scenery all around in the beautiful Hautes-Alpes region. If you are cycling in France, it's well worth a visit.
We cycled from Silverstone to Monaco, taking on the amazing Col du Lautaret after our stay at Hotel Faranchin, and onto the Col d'Izoard, Col du Vars and the immense Col de la Bonette, all within reasonable distance from the hotel! Well worth a visit and the staff could not do enough for us. We will most definately return if we are in the region again.

I was cycling across Europe in march solo so you really want three things from a hotel, a warm welcome (after talking to yourself all day) , a cosy room with very hot water and great food,I got all three here and really enjoyed my stay.
Really great couple running the hotel with a nice family atmosphere it has a little bar with a couple of good beers and a very good resteraunt. They know the area really well and it would be a great place for an extended hiking or cycling holiday and most important the road from Grenoble is OPEN! ! (I cycled it the day i left) The signs may say it's closed but only to lorries and coaches so for cars no problem !!
