After strenuous walks around both Upnor and Rochester castles we opted to stop here for lunch. I took a ham sandwich on the granary bread which was delicious and my wife had chicken soup which was also good eaten outside on the tables provided

A lovely little tea place, with an excellent choice of basic, English food. Nicely decorated, with old fashioned bone china cups & saucers, tea pots & a good variety of loose leaf tea. There was not a lot of atmosphere in there, probably because it is very small & quiet, & also at the very end of the High Street. But I'd be happy to go again for their good food & delicious home made cakes.

I visited today with two of my friends for Afternoon Tea. For the three of us (£10.50 per head) we were served a selection of five sandwiches (Ham, cheese, beef & horseradish, egg and chicken & bacon), a raisin scone each (with strawberry jam & clotted cream), a mini strawberry each along with a selection of around six mini cakes and a pot of tea.

The cafè itself is small yet decorated homely with family photos and small momentums.

Staff were welcoming & friendly and were sure to make us feel at home.

I enjoyed the Afternoon Tea however felt that the food itself was quite bland and didn’t consist of much flavour.

I may return in the future, thank you for having us.

We were in the area and did a quick trip advisor search for tea rooms and Mrs Tickit's came up. You can find the tea room at the start of the High St ( if you come from the castle or cathedral turn left when you hit the high St and walk to the end).

The Tea room is small with a lovely feel. The two ladies working Saturday were very friendly. Made us feel relaxed even with our young boys (there is a high chair).

All our food was very nice (bacon sandwich, jacket potato). We also had some cake. Would definitely visit again if in the area!
