Beautiful place to stay right on the beach. Tons of fun activities to choose from and the staff is beyond helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay! I highly recommend the snorkeling and waterfall hiking tours!

This place has it all. We stayed in owners suite, 5 bedrooms on the beach and 25 yards from the ocean, perfect location and set up for the family. Four spacious bathrooms and a very large deck over looking ocean. Super setup.
The friendliest staff I have ever encountered. From the welcome drink and check in, the pool bartenders the wait staff, you can not find a more friendly accommodating staff. Even had Dennis the menace greeting us and climbing up the coconut trees every day to make sure we had fresh coconut milk. The man brings enthusiasm and joy all week long.

We booked zip lining and cave through the resort and greatly enjoyed both. Also had the sea kayak and paddles out for fun beach activities.
The paddlehouse restaurant was also a very pleasant surprise. Breakfast lunch and dinner all good meals and value. Nice variety of items to choose from, daily specials and being there during start of lobster season really made eating there employable

For those inclined to just hang out and enjoy good drinks, happy hour from 2-4 at pool and 4-6 at paddle house makes drinking easy and ridiculously inexpensive.

Not a lot of nite life but with mornings starting early, lots of activity such as scuba diving zip lines etc and happy hour, this was not an issue for us.

We had read about bug bites but this was not a big deal for most of the crew. A few got bit, most didn't so did not seem to be anything out of the ordinary.

We were told it was rainy season but did not have any issues. It rained several times at nite but days were all dry.

Ocean was about 83 degrees so very comfortable.

Great facility, great activities, great food and best people. And lobster season! We will be back.

Our stay at Almond Beach was an awesome balance of relaxation and adventure! Belize and the resort have such great people who are very kind and hospitable!

Pick up service from the resort at the airport was easy. There was a drive with our names written on a sign. The drive was about 2.5 hours. We made a stop to drop off other guests at the sister resort, Sleeping Giant, and the drive offered to make any additional shopping/bathroom stops as was needed.

Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted by staff with a refreshing drink and given a tour of the resort. Almond beach is actually part of Jaguar Reef, so you will be checking in at the Jaguar Reef front desk, and this side of the resort is where the restaurant/bar is located as well.

We stayed in a beachfront casita, just steps from the shore. Our room, Papaya, was at the end of the resort grounds which was nice and peaceful. It is worth the extra money in my opinion, but I think all rooms on the resort looked great (just not as private or on the beach the way the casita is). I loved the private outdoor shower! Wifi was good for the most part, a little spotty at times. Air conditioner worked great, and there was purified water in the room which was great for filling up water bottles. It was also steps from the second pool on the grounds which had a swim up pool bar. The beach was awesome and staff raked the beach clean every morning. Recommend adjusting your days to where you are up around 5:30/6 am so that you can catch the best beach time/kayaking/paddle boarding time.

Happy hour at the pool was awesome and the main bartender, Sparrow (nicknamed for looking similar to Jack Sparrow), was great! He made great drinks and had awesome service!

We ate the buffet breakfast a couple times, which was great with a made to order egg station. Did not try dinner here but there were signs each night with new themes (pasta night, BBQ, taco night, etc.). Highly recommend eating around the resort and in town. Loggerheads burger bar is across the street and has amazing free range, grass fed beef. Some of the best burgers I've ever had! Try the fry jack burger or gorgonzola stuffed one. There's also a small shack called Chicken Shack which serves fresh cooked chicken during lunch hours, and burritos/quesadillas at night with handmade tortillas. There an Oasis Gym down the street with good healthy food (smoothies, protein shakes, juices, sandwiches, burritos). Driftwood Pizza bar in town has awesome pizza and is right on the beach.

Check out the adventure desk for free kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling gear, board games, etc. You can also get your towels here and book tours. Make sure to return your towels at the end of your trip to get your token back or you will be charged $20 for towels. Highly recommend booking the 1/2 day snorkeling trip, Cayo Mayan Ruin trip (be on the look out for Toucans and Howler monkeys!), and ATM cave tour. ATM cave tour is the BEST tour in Belize in my opinion. It's a great adventure that is suitable for any moderately active person. It combines swimming, walking, climbing on rocks, and amazing sightseeing! If you plan on going on this trip I recommend buying water hiking shoes, not just water shoes as you will want the extra protection and grip as you are climbing rock and swimming.

We caught the Mango Festival in town the first weekend in June. We were also told there is a lobster festival every year mid-June.

Everyone in Belize and at the resort are incredibly friendly and kind. Highly recommend staying here!
