Everything about this place is just right: the estate, the rooms, the decoration (cozy and sofisticated). We spent a weekend to celebrate our wedding aniversary and it was very romantic: we had our very own cottage, the owners were very helpful, the surrondings are beautiful and Breakfast was great ( felt like you were a house guest with the maid providing eggs any stile and bread straight out of the oven).More
Just 1h15m by car from Lisbon airport, this is an excellent luxury rural hotel to rest and enjoy Nature.
The decoration, cleanliness and food are very good. It is better to travel around by car, but it is also good to walk around in the coutryside. The owner of the house will give you good advise of what to do. Évora, Estremoz and Redondo are nice places to visit with traditional shops, good quality Portuguese brands, excellent price/quality restaurants. I will definetely go back! A beautiful, cozy and sophisticated rural hotel where details matter and effort is put to the guests well-being. Friendly and informal welcome makes one feel at home. Wonderful breakfast with organic choices. A short drive away from Estremoz, Vila Viçosa and Évora, the perfect place for a weekend get-away. Calm and peaceful, with a heated outdoors pool, a breathtaking landscape and a library for guests. Internet is slow and on-and-off.

Needing to find a place away where m and my family could be together and in a peaceful environment the Herdade Agua d'Alte corresponded to all that we were looking - we could run away from everything (TV included) and just focus on what matters - people. Discuss with the family, make new acquaintances and have fun without the stress to be "happy". In our time in the Herdade besides swimming, eating (the Herdade food is excellent) and sleeping (and of course a lot of reading) we were able to enjoy a yoga class, a massage, a cooking lesson and nice walks in the neighbourhood besides the classical wine producer visits.The batteries are recharged and for sure this is a place to return even because when we left we had the feeling that new members were added to our extended family.

I spent 4 nights in this property and it was simply wonderful! Agua d`Alte it`s one of those places that touches our souls leaving an unforgettable mark and a tremendous desire to return again and again. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Alentejo. There are beautiful towns and landscapes to visit nearby. As soon as we entered the property we had a very warm welcome and the first vision was delightful. The scenery is really nice. The property has a typical Alentejo arquitecture and it is surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees and flowers all over. The swimning pool is really well designed and next to it there is a very nice lounge where we can seat, listen music, read, make coffee/tea or simply enjoy the relaxing and inspiring scenery. At night time it gains another feeling, with the lights on, it is really romantic. Our suite was extremely well decorated, very clean and confortable. The porch outside was very nice with confortable sofas, inviting us everyday for a wonderful breakfast. The views were magical with the olive trees, the plains, the sheeps, the goats, the green, etc, etc. The living room where breakfast was served was very well appointed. There is an exquisite taste in every detail! This is for sure one of the best properties I found in Alentejo and I hope to return many times. My last words go to the people who made every effort to make us feel at home, returning their smiles and attention every day. The service really impressed me and it`s hard to find the right words to express our gratitude for turning our holidays so revitalizing and unforgettable.

Agua d'Alte is a veritable paradise. Cristina, Jose-Manuel and all the staff are so welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and classically chic; delicious food and a tranquille ambience. I would love to come back again and again - one day soon I hope!
