Great food options, great views, great staff! I highly recommend also staying at their lofts! Mr Kahawa is in a very central location of Paje with so many activities around!

Me and my boyfriend were staying at The Waterfront right behind Mr. Kahawa for a week. This was really a lucky shot with Mr. Kahawa being a great place to hang out and enjoy delicious food, cakes, coffees and enjoy the views of the Indian Ocean.

After reading the reviews we were really excited that this place was reopening on the last day of our stay in Paje.

What a letdown!

The venue is gorgeous with very cool vibe and beautiful sea views. But practically nothing on the menu was available with their reason being that things weren’t prepared as it was their first day back open. Instead of being told what there was we tried to order things and then were told it wasn’t available. We ended up with a stir fried vegetable wrap with cheese and pineapple in it - very strange and unexpected.

No ice, cheap and nasty chocolate milkshake and average coffee and juice.

To top it off the staff tried to overcharge and we had to argue to pay the correct amount.

There are some really lovely places on the beach front and for our last day here I wish we had gone elsewhere!

My two friends and I visited the island in order to do fieldwork and we were hanging out at Mr Kahawa everyday! It isn't a cheap place if your usual budget for a meal is 3$, as ours was. But it is really nice, staff is friendly and toilets are great!
