The beach is beautiful, but the water is sooo hot ☹️. The ebb, like anywhere in Zanzibar, is also here, water com back about 4 pm but is low so you can bath but cannot swim properly and is full of seaweed :/ - bit cleaner is on left side...
Also I can not forget local sellers - you hear jumbo! Hakuna matata! from everywhere😁... before hotel resorts you can met local people in bigger groups - selling their products and massais.
Compare to Nungwi, you can hear the most Italy language and there is not so many restaurants and local shops.

This is like most beaches on this side of Zanzibar, the colour of the water is beautiful but you need to keep an eye on the tide to be able to swim. The sand is white but I recommend shoes to walk on the stones and coral.

This is a typical Indian Ocean beach, white sand, aqua water and beautiful views. It's not too busy but there is plenty to keep you busy

We really loved this beach, our second favorite on the east coast of Zanzibar. Isolated, yet busy enough to have other options to interact with people than just those in beach resorts. Numerous small beach art stores, kiosks, and even a pet monkey. We drove from Stone Town, 50min, and were able to park 5 meters from the beach, after driving down a small access road through a village. At high tide, there were enough sandy areas where kids can swim without the normal Zanzibar worry of urchins or sharp rocks. Great walking beach, tanning beach, and just hanging out.

Kiwengwa is one of the popular beaches of Zanzibar. It is the kind of the beach where you can find bars, terraces, various activities. It is a very nice area! We visited it as we were here to rent Quads to visit old village.
