Great place located right on the beach. Food is excellent and staff very friendly. Would recommend for anyone looking to relax for a few days without crowds or hassle. Try the grilled seafood platter - it is amazing!

We highly recommend this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights for a bit of luxury and it did not disappoint. Rooms were fabulous and clean and came with extra beach towels and beach hats, which we loved. Rooms are also very spacious. The place isn't super big so you're not surrounded by heaps of other guests. Place is right on the beach with loungers etc. At high tide you can swim and it's great. Low tide the water goes right out but still looks good. Bikes are available for free to use on the beach. There is also a massage hut right next to the beach - very nice. The only annoyance is the people on the beach trying to sell things. They won't come right up to the lounge chairs but if you want to go to the water you have to pass them and they get very annoying. This is a problem at every resort though so don't let it put you off. For when you want a break there's also a very nice pool within the resort. The hotel also has a restaurant with a wide selection and a bar with happy hour 4pm-6pm. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of a 2 week trip to Zanzibar but would have happily stayed longer. The property is situated on the beach and has a swimming pool, bar and restaurant where we enjoyed the best food we had in Zanzibar. Rooms are spacious and traditional in style, very comfortable and clean.

We discovered an issue with the shower head on arrival however this was resolved almost immediately and throughout our stay, we found all of the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The food is amazing and not surprisingly, the restaurant is very popular with non-residents of the hotel. Both the bar and restaurant are also very reasonably priced.

The hotel arranged for us to walk out across the reef with a guide which was probably the highlight of our holiday and only cost $5 each! We learnt so much and saw things we would have never seen, not to mention being guided safely through the hundreds of sea urchins which litter the sea bed here. We also arranged a private boat trip around Mnemba and saw a dolphin which was amazing as we hadn’t wanted to join a larger group trip which can sometimes mean boats chasing dolphins for the tourists which we definitely didn’t want to be part of.

The hotel has bicycles which you can borrow free of charge and this was a great way to see more of the surrounding area.

This isn’t a luxury hotel however this was our favourite place out of the 3 we stayed at during our holiday. If you are looking for a small hotel where you can enjoy a completely relaxing stay with friendly staff, fabulous food in a beautiful location then this is the place for you.

Thank you to Jan and his team for a wonderful stay. We were sad to leave this perfect paradise.

By far the best food I have eaten during my holiday.

They have a great diversity of meals, drinks and a lovely place with ocean view.

Also the staff is very friendly, especially the owner who wants to make sure that everybody is comfortable!
