We spent a week at this hotel this past summer. I guess for Waikiki it is decent, but I’m not staying here again.
The positives: great views, and a nice location. We saw manta rays and sea turtles every morning. As other reviews were mentioning, the elevators were nice, and the location was good.
The negatives…. We thought we could save some money by going to Oahu, but this turned out to be an extremely expensive trip. Between the room rates, the overpriced and underwhelming breakfast, the almost obligatory chair rental at the pool or beach, and the three digit cost for a rollaway we ended up spending just as much as we would have for a nicer resort on Maui, Kauai, or Big Island. All this for a 230 square foot room. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a smaller room.
Waikiki is a beautiful beach, but it is way overcrowded. On top of that these rooms were way too small, and you need to rent a chair just to get a decent seat, and be on the beach at 8am just to get a good spot to rent.
If you like crowded places and small rooms you may enjoy it, but unfortunately the view was not worth all the negatives for us.
