This was like our 5th time staying here. We arrived very late and the room on level 18 seemed really small (queen beds instead of doubles?) so we switched to the 4th floor. The woman checking us in had no idea on the room layouts. Oh well. Very small lanai. Our maid, Ann was really really nice and one of the valets gave us much Aloha. We will stay here again and hope that the pool will be ready (jackhammering all day long...) Hopefully can stay on the 14th floor again.More

We recently stayed at Ohana East for 2 weeks . Jan 4 - Jan 18 2023. We loved our stay , the staff are so nice and helpful . Hotel is in a great location . We knew before booking the pool was being renovated which didnt bother us as we spent our days in the ocean . Would definitely recommend Hotel and would definitely stay again

Don’t let the pictures on booking sites fool you. I would have been ok with outdated, but the rooms are run down. The sliding patio doors, barely block any outside noise. The bathrooms are incredibly small. The beds are not comfortable. We originally were given room 201- it felt like a closet with a view of the jack hammered pool and then room 607 had no hot water in the shower. Front desk staff were not overly willing to help, especially when we checked in and it was 11:00 pm and I was so distraught with the room. However, Jason ( I believe he was a manager) was very accommodating which I was thankful for. This hotels feels like should be $89/night not hundreds a night. Unfortunately I would most definitely not recommend.

The location was very good. The amenities in the room were limited/ poor. Plastic cup provided daily. No glasses , bowls or spoons. Empty Fridge. A drip filter coffee machine that we didnt use, No working pool.
Offered access to another hotels pool however too far away and very small pool , you just wouldn't bother. They should advise prior to travel and offer a discount for this. Room clean and staff helpful and friendly. Check in time is 3pm so best to book an additional day if arriving early.
The room was clean and attended to daily. No issues with the staff they are friendly and helpful. The front man in the lobby assisted us with directions and booking of transport to shopping & airport.
The hotel needs a revamp as is tired. I wouldn't stay there again. Definitely not value for money. We payed $2748.99 Australian for 5 nights.
However the nearby Sheraton Princess Kaiulani looked much nicer as had other family /friends staying there. It had a lovely pool and the decor was nice.

I had stayed here many years aga and most recently stayed for two nights including New Year's Eve. The location is great and it is an easy walk to anywhere. There was a huge amount of street noise even during the day and so much noise from adjoining rooms at night. The lovely reception staff moved me to a room on a much higher floor which was better in that it had slightly less street noise but it was close to the lifts so there was noise from the lifts all day and night. The bed was hard and the pillows need replacing. Not a great place to get a good night's sleep. The staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. From the look of the concrete shell which used to be the pool, it won't be operational again for many months but I was told you can swim at a neighbouring property. Perhaps Waikiki is just a lot noisier and busier than it used to be. I would definitely need to stay somewhere quieter and newer next time.

I’m shocked by the good ratings of this hotel. It’s more like motel quality and not worth almost $500/night. At most the value of this hotel is $89/night. I get it’s a good location but it’s VERY outdated and gross inside. Our bathroom light fell on the middle of the night and our “balcony” was just an open roof covered in rust and pigeons. It was gross. Also the pool was closed and under construction so we had to use the Beachcomber pool which was WAY NICER and not much more expensive. Spend a few more dollars for a luxury experience at the Beachcomber. Do not recommend Ohana at all.
