We enjoyed our stay, The view was outstanding. The access to the beach was wonderful. It was easy to walk around Waikiki, The Egg & Things café had great food and a good staff. The cleaning staff were efficient and helpful. The central location allowed us to easily walk to the zoo and aquarium .

My wife and I had to fly over from Maui for a brief one-night stay, part business part pleasure. We have stayed at many properties throughout the Hawaiian Islands, from tiny boutique properties to mega-resorts and everything in between. What we loved about this property was that it had a boutique-like feel that reminded us of some of the smaller properties we really enjoy in Southeast Asia. We like the smaller properties where we can come and go without a whole heap of fanfare. This is not to say we don't appreciate the overly attentive service of a Ritz or Four Seasons, but those experiences have their own time and place and for us, this brief weekend trip was not one of them. As such, we decided to try something new with Aston Waikiki Circle and we are delighted we chose to do so. The hotel itself is, in fact, an architectural circle. Many of the rooms have incredible views and we were only sorry we did not have more time to spend simply enjoying the view from our lanai. Spectacular! Our room was not huge but very comfortable for the two of us with everything we needed and again, afforded us that boutique-like feel we really enjoy when we know we will be coming and going often and want a property that allows for that without long walks down long corridors and long waits for elevators. Being a circle, no long hallways or long walks and very easy access. The bathroom door had a lovely glass panel that was blue and had circle bubbles underscoring the architectural theme/design of the structure. The property is directly across the street from a great portion of Waikiki Beach and allows for easy access to great shopping, dining, and anything else one may care to access in Waikiki.. As rental cars were pretty much booked and we did not care to pay more for a rental car than the room, we used Biki bikes and the bus to navigate our way to and from the airport and into Chinatown. First time ever we did not rent a car on Oahu and it was a really fun new way to experience the city. The Circle's location made this all very easy. I would be remiss were I not to mention the warm, friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone we encountered were wonderful and we will definitely stay here again. If you and yours are accustomed to five star destination resorts with a huge staff, multiple concierge desks, etc, this may not be for you. But if you are seasoned travelers who appreciate great location, great views, warm service and great value...check it out!

The best views in Waikiki for the money. The location is near diamond head, Duke's Beach and some of the best shopping on the island. The staff is friendly and quick to help. The rooms are modern and clean and had all that we needed for our vacation. Coffee machine, mini fridge, internet, new TV with access to Netflix. Big closet and a safe. The patios are large and recently updated.

Everyone was nice and accommodating. We love that it was just a few steps from the beach. ABC stores next to the hotel, restaurant right by the lobby. I also like that they have free dvd rentals,it really helps when you have kids.

The room is small... very much reminds me of a cabin in a cruise ship. There is no lobby, just someone making a desk at the entrance of the street. The main hallways need to be repainted and cleaned. But the view!!! Wow.

This was the 2nd of our two hotels in Waikiki during our 1 week stay. Hotel #1 (outrigger beachcomber) for its convenience to food & shopping; hotel #2 (Waikiki Circle) strictly for its beach front location. Its an older hotel that offers little in luxuries & comforts but more than made up for it by its prime locale.

We pre-booked the most expensive ocean front room 2 months in advance, but at the check in the gentleman wanted to put us on 4th floor which will only have a tree top view of Waikiki. He offered to put us on upper floor if we pony up extra $25 per night. Why am I always the victim of unscrupulous practices? sigh.... Anyways we decided to pay and was upgrade to 12th floor. There was also a resort fee ($25 + 1.18 + 2.56, daily). For a small hotel without any gym, pool or other facilities I don't think that was justified.

The moment we entered the room we knew it was prob worth the $25/night ransom. From the entrance alone we already had an unobstructed view of the blue Pacific. Perched from the balcony the view was even more stunning: to the south stood the imposing Diamond Head, to the north the iconic Moana Surfrider hotel, Kalakaua ave (Waikiki main strip) was right beneath us. Right in-front of our hotel is the Waikiki beach & Duke's statue, literally a Brady to Gronk TD throw away. Everyday we sat on the balcony and listened to the sounds of the sea, watching surfers riding the waves Sunset was magnificent as we faced almost directly toward the West, even in the morning and during the day the sight and sounds were fabulous. Even if they charged us $50 extra per day we would have gladly oblige, will even throw in our dwarf hamster Sophia on top.

The room was dated and had that 1970's vibe: old decor, small bathroom, tiny shower with lukewarm water & anemic pressure. On the positive side it has a Keurig maker and most importantly a safety box. The queen beds were comfy, pillow were not overly fluffy but adequate . They were low profiles so more ideal for my bad back. Daily newspaper was delivered to the door, beach towels are avail upon request, ice machine down stairs but no water station. There is no lobby, 1 gentleman in the booth next to the elevators handles all transactions & interactions. They are probably the descendants of Mrs Kwok the original founder.

Next door there is McDonald , egg & things is affiliated with hotel but guests enjoy 10% discount by showing hotel card. If you venture 1 block to the east you will find a hidden gem called "Mac", it has no line & far superior food. We ate most of the time in places further up North near our hotel #1, around Inter Market & Royal Hawaiian Center.

Overall we had a pleasant stay & would def consider returning for its prime beach front location.

Room tip: Beware of upselling to “higher” floors
