Only good option was the waffles. Trash overflow at some point and we didn’t know where to put our trash. Premade sandwiches and burritos have no taste. Ran out of other stuff and had to find someone to replenish

Very friendly staff. Need bigger selection for breakfast but overall very good food. Internet was fast. rooms were clean. Nearby shopping and restaurants and conveniently located by the airport with free shuttle to and from.
Very courteous and polite staff and personal. Close to the Honolulu airport. The breakfast was decent and very clean. All the bathrooms were very clean even the ones accessible by the public. The shuttle to the Honolulu Airport was done very politely.
We stayed here January 2023. The hotel is dated but clean. Although the bathroom in our room was clean, the paint was bubbling on every wall.
The housekeeping staff was friendly and do a great job. However the front desk staff was not rude but not very friendly either. We booked our room two weeks or so before our arrival. Nothing was ever said or noted on their website about construction being done in the rooms neighboring our room for our entire stay. It’s loud. Very loud. The construction and the loud noise that went with said work started at 8am every morning. So there was no sleeping in on our expensive Hawaiian vacation. We went without water for several hours on one of the days as well.
The breakfast is too carb and sugar heavy. There was little to no fresh fruit, no vegetables, and what little protein that was offered came in the form of heavily processed meat and egg white microwaved sandwiches. McDonald’s breakfast was better than what was served here.
If a hotel is going to do this kind of construction while guests are booked in the neighboring rooms, then inform them of it at the time of booking. I would have reserved a room else where as I did not pay full price for a loud substandard room while on vacation. This should have been my choice to make not a multimillion dollar hotels choice to make for me.
I will not recommend Best Western nor will I stay here again. There are to many other hotel chains that are friendlier, more quiet, with better food, and that offer a better rewards program. Why would I ever stay at a Best Western when there is better for the same price?
I had an early international flight out of Honolulu so chose to spend my last night in Hawaii at the Best Western the Plaza. Rooms are fairly basic and a little dated, but a decent size and comfortable enough. Check-in was friendly and when I mentioned the ice machine outside my room was making a very loud noise it was attended to very quickly. There are a few fast food options nearby if you need to grab dinner - I wouldn't recommend walking the area alone at night though. I also had to walk to the airport at 5:00 in the morning (about 20 or so minutes) as the shuttle service hadn't started and I figured I wouldn't be able to get a taxi or Uber for the short a trip. Overall this hotel serves its purpose pretty well.
Arrived at midnight for seven hours of sleep before moving onto the next island. There was several people in the check in line, but they brought another person up to the desk to keep things moving. Room was nice enough. There's was a partially drank water bottle left in the fridge left by the previous guest, but clean otherwise.
Bed was really low to the ground, Mattress was okay. Bathroom was small. Shower temperature kept changing throughout shower.
Breakfast was pretty good. The shuttle back to the airport was very full.
Overall, a good spot for some sleep before catching the next flight. It's very close to the airport, so that makes getting there very easy.
