We like to try Irish pubs and we weren't disappointed. A very nice selection of drafts. Their Irish whiskey list is impressive. I would not have expected Teeling's in a neighborhood pub, it did not disappoint. The hot tater tots were good as was the Beef on Weck. If we are back in Buffalo we are coming back.

Service was excellent. Ordered A Stella Artois, it tasted bad. They happily replaced with Harp. Tasted similar but I stayed wit it. Wings ok. Irish Beer Cheese soup was. DISASTER. It was thickened too much and was like a thick snot consistency. And over heated , so the dairy in it got gritty and nasty. Very disappointed.

We tried while in the area bc of TripleD. We did try the tater tots and they were good. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait about 40 minutes. Irish beers on tap. Beef on wick was good. Service time for kitchen was good.

Fun place for a beer. We went for a meal. Tater tots were outstanding. Other items varied from good to very good. One person at our table was not happy with skin on fish (fish fry). Service was pleasant!

Friday night (day before St. Patrick's Day) had a Fish Fry dinner at The Blackthorn (Irish Pub and Restaurant). Arrived there about 6 p.m., and got our name on the list (45 minute wait). Went through the inside bar area to the tented heated back patio bar, got a pint of Guinness! Slainte! During St. Patrick's Day weekend, they serve beer in plastic cups. I prefer to have my Guinness in a glass. They had a band playing traditional Irish music. The crowd was enjoying it, and so were we! Lost track of time, but they called us on our cell phone that our table was now available. We ordered the traditional beer battered haddock fish with a lemon wedge and a side of tartar sauce (diced dill pickle in it), which also comes with a side of macaroni salad, coleslaw and french fries ($13.50). Bread basket contained french bread (sliced) and two types of butter: regular and garlic herb butter. Everything delicious!
