As we pulled off the highway on our drive from Cameron to Flagstaff, we questionned whether this would be worth the time and effort needed to drive around this loop. We stopped at the first set of ruins, which made it worth the trip. We then continued to drive on the loop and saw even more interesting locations that were created in the 1100's and 1200's. We stopped at the visitor's center and took the tour of the ruins behind the center. I didn't see them from the road and my jaw literally dropped when I saw the ruins behind the visitor's center. They were incredibly impressive both in size and completeness. I'm very glad that we took the time to turn off the main highway and visit this site.
