This is a real old motel (we had no choice, everything was booked). Has a weird stale smell and is VERY basic. I would never stay there again. Rather sad!
However the location is very convenient and was walking distance from the helicopter ride company.
On our arrival we were greeted by a lovely cheerful lady at reception who gave us the information we needed to know. We entered our unit to discover the heating in the main room had been turned on and as it was a cold wet afternoon it was very welcome, the heat radiating to the upstairs mezzanine bedroom which made it very cosy. The motel was on a quiet back road, but within easy walking distance of good restaurants.
Nice friendly people, clean spacious room, with settee and separate dining areadecent car park, located just off the main street. Balcony and kitchenette with microwave, 2 ring hob. Had everything we needed. Even had umbrellas to loan and dvds.
Our room “ Tui” was lovely, large bathroom with a spa bath, heated towel rail, great little kitchenette, comfortable bed. A great gas faux wood heater that warmed the room up in no time & looked amazing with the flames.But the best thing about this accommodation was the space! Even a lovely comfortable lounge, coffee table and a great little outdoor seating area that backed onto a beautiful fern area, very private. Guest laundry. Parking right near our room.

Very comfortable family unit. Lilian at check in was super friendly and helpful. Lovely comfy beds and good kitchenette. The green foliage at our window was a nice touch. Only downside was our DVD played didn’t work. Everything else was great. Thanks for having us.
