We were lucky to be upgraded from the Scenic Hotel to this wonderful retreat. We were welcomed by Umesh Shinde who helped us with information on activities in Franz Josef and made sure our every need was attended too. The staff and amenities were top quality. The restaurant did beautiful meals and the young waiter did a superb job. Would recommend this retreat to everyone. Well done Te Waonui.

Incredibly lucky to be upgraded to Te Waonui . An warm and informative welcome by Umesh Shinde, a great start to this fabulous experience. Located in the forest grounds, our bush facing room was luxurious with all essentials on hand.
We really enjoyed Umesh's recommendations of HeliServices.NZ flight - spectacular, relaxing hot pools next door and delicious meal on the restaurants outdoor deck overlooking the forest. Thanks to Riley for your service. A memorable fabulous stay - would highly recommend.

Can't fault the accommodations or service. The rooms were beautifully appointed, beds fantastic. We enjoyed fabulous service in both the bar and restaurant and the food was first class. A truly wonderful experience!

We were upgraded from Scenic to their Sister Retreat next door. Beautiful room,very comfortable and quiet.Staff were very friendly and went all out to make sure you had everything you wanted. Would definitely stay again.
