We visited Mesa Verde Park & were lucky to find a room here. It's definitely older lodgings. I think they must be in the process of doing some upgrades. Our friends were a couple of doors down & their room looked Totally different than ours! (Not as big). I wish we'd gotten a room up the hill from the offices because there was road noise. Food at the restaurant was amazing!!!

We booked a room with a view and were not disappointed as the view was one of the vast expanse of the region. We like to tour our nation's parks early in the morning, so being inside the park allowed us to do this very conveniently. Check-in and Check-out were easy. Covid 19 protocols were being followed. (Masks required, hand sanitizer available, people in general respecting each other's space) As others have stated, the rooms are small and they are very basic. The place does show its age and is a bit run down. The deck/balcony is very small but still allows 2 people to sit outside and take in the view and fresh air. Our room was clean with the proper amount of towels and a hot shower. The area surrounding the facility was quiet throughout the day and night and the bed was comfortable to allow for a good night's sleep. We use the room mainly to sleep, as we are out and about throughout the day, so for us it worked out fine. And again, the Location for touring Mesa Verde NP can't be beat. We would stay again if we were to re-visit the park.

Come for the location - endless views, the night sky, sunrise over the Mesa. Being nestled inside made it incredibly convenient to drive to the sites and join an early morning tour. The room itself isn't as plush as the photos but they're clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff's commitment to Covid - masks and distance were apparent. We felt very safe. The key didn't work initially and the staff fixed it right away. They also went out of their way to help with kennel arrangements for our dogs - they all went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back!

The pictures of the rooms at Far View Lodge are misleading. The rooms are not a nice size they are very small and do not allow room to move around. The view I had was of a riding lawnmower and a little of the surrounding sites. Had to go to registration area to pick up additional towels and had to empty trash due to their not being any service until after I checked out. Not worth the money

The views and the restaurant are great. The rooms are tiny and have paper thin walls. My recommendation is to get a room upstairs. We could hear the children upstairs running all over. The front door was very hard to close.
The private balcony was very clean no dust or cobwebs and had a beautiful views.
The location is great. Close to the cliff dwellings.
