Seeing this waterfall requires a little bit of hiking, and there is no tour bus that goes here. Like Seljalandsfoss, (which has become extremely commercialized since I was last in Iceland in 2012), you can walk behind these falls for some spectacular views.
Park in the far lot for the Skogar Museum, and walk behind the building. That property backs up to a fenced area, so follow the fence past some rusted farm equipment, and you will come to what looks like a swimming pool ladder. Climb up and over and start walking. When you reach the stream, turn left and follow the stream all the way back to the falls. There is a little bit of climbing over rocks, and possibly through mud, but it's completely worth the 15-minute hike.
