We enjoyed a night in the beautiful cabin with an incredible view. Designed and cured for in a minimal and honest design, the cabins are simply excellent. The breakfast truly made our stay perfect. Thank you so much for a truly amazing stay.

My Husband and I stayed at Fagrabrekka on our 1st visit to Iceland (late Sept 2018) for one night as we were making our way down the ring road. The location was perfect after spending the day at the golden circle. The host Ragnhildur, was very helpful giving us directions to the property & very welcoming. The cottage was so beautiful, clean, modern & cozy. It had a small kitchette with everything you needed. We made our own dinner, took a nice hot shower with the lovely icelandic soaps provided & laid in bed to watch Netflix. In the morning we woke up to a beautiful view of Eyjafjallajokull from distance. We had a delicious breakfast made by Ragnhildur, with homemade orange cake that I still dream about! She was very informative & even told us about hidden gems to check out along the way. It was a very Tranquil experience with beautiful friendly horses to touch & see on the property. Thank you for your hospitality & we look forward to staying again at Fagrabrekka Guesthouse in the near future.
We had a lovely time at Fagrabrekka. The room was small but cosy, clean, modern and had what you need. So nice to be in natural surroundings. Breakfast is delicious and the owners are super helpful, helped us plan our itinerary for the day and even let us borrow their car for dinner when ours broke down and sorted out the mechanic!
I cannot give a high enough recommendation. The cabin is lovely, modern, and sparkling clean, with kitchenette and panoramic view as well as a patio to take it all in! Close to Hella. Hostess Ragnhildur is fabulous and prepared a wonderful breakfast for us to make our stay even more special. We dined by candlelight in sheepskin-covered chairs. She shared pictures from books on Iceland and gave us tips for our various destinations. Would definitely return for a longer stay.
My husband and I spent one night here recently We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer! Firstly, the host Ragnhildur, was in contact with me way before our arrival. She gave us directions and was concerned when I told her that our driver will drop us off and pick us up the next morning, which means we do not have a car to go out for dinner! She suggested we eat in the town first and even made arrangements for a taxi to come get us later! In the end, we packed some food and checked in, so it was not a problem.
There are 4 cabins and we were in the first one. What a lovely cabin it was, as you enter, the bathroom is on the left and on the right a kitchenette (note; there is no mocrowave but it has a stovetop). The sitting area faces the kitchenette with the bed next to it There is a sliding door to walk out to the balcony which overlooks the river. there are chairs to sit too but it was too cold!
Still we enjoyed our packed meal with a bottle of wine, sitting inside but looking out to the wilderness!
Ragnhildur lives onsite with her family and she was so pleasant and warm and welcoming.
Breakfast the next morning was served in a little dining area adjoining her house. We loved the freshly baked breads!
But best of all, we saw the Northern lights! It came on earlier than expected and Ragnhildur came knocking at our door to tell us the Lights are here! What a beautiful sight it was to have the sky lit up!
