My husband and I stayed here Oct 2-6. The Hotel was beautiful and loved the charm of staying in a hotel that was built in 1825. The room was clean with minimal decor yet stylish.
The hotel staff was extremely nice, opening doors for you and holding our suitcases for us as we arrived a few hours before check in. They had plenty of recommendations for food and tours. Erick was very welcoming and Chris was nice to put in a ticket for our safe in the room that was not working.
The balcony was a nice bonus and we had a peek of the cathedral at Jackson Square. On the second to the last day we were lucky enough to see filming for a Lil Wayne half time show (for the Saints) video from out balcony. LIstening to Lil Wayne in New Orleans is just as important as listening to Jazz so we were lucky enough to see that.
Everything aside from the scheduled tours we took was in walking distance and it was nice to take in all the historical buildings that is the norm in the French Quarter. Definitely worth it to stay in the Quarter.More
