We stayed in the French Quarter which is centrally located and within walking distance of Jackson Square, Canal Street, Bourbon Street, French Market, Chartres Street for shopping, a myriad of fine restaurants and bars, and a streetcar ride away from anything that isn't within walking distance.

It’s dirty but still cool. Walk along the river and visit the flea market area. The food is tasty but overpriced.

You have to walk around together the true flavor ofNew Orleans. We stopped at several little shops. And what I call pubs. Maybe they call Bristos

The French Quarter offers the visitor a sense of history through its architecture, its narrow streets, its parades, its music, its horse drawn carriages, throught the Natchez steamboat and its restaurants which serve delectable meals. Easter week was very crowded but always fun.
