Loved walking around, hearing music everywhere, the beautiful balconies. Everyone is friendly, Jackson Square with the all the performers, artists, Decatur Street, Cafe DuMond, and the atmosphere in general is so much fun.

Fun shops, good restaurants, great people watching but don't go on a Saturday night unless you want really loud music, tons of people, lots of smoking and drinking. But also, a must do for a little bit if you are going to be in New Orleans.

We had a fantastic time even with our six-year-old roaming the streets during the day in the French quarter. Several fantastic restaurants were visited and shopping for souvenirs. Make sure you hit the flea market at the far end it has great deals and the same stuff present in the shops

Spring break goes on for weeks as schools Are on different schedules. Usually an hour wait for a restaurant the week we were there ( March 9-16), sidewalks so crowded we had to walk in the streets at 4pm. Bourbon Street smelled of vomit and urine every afternoon. I cannot imagine being there when it is really hot & humid.

This legendary area of New Orleans is everything it is touted for. The music, the food and the people are what make this an overall wonderful place to visit.
