My boyfriend and I was staying at DD Ubud Villa for 5 days, and it was great! This hotel is placed in the middle of the rainforest and has the most beautiful view! The staff is very professional and helped us book excursions etc. and rented us scooters whenever we wanted to. However, renting a scooter is a must when you stay at this hotel because of its location. When driving it's about 30 minutes from Ubud centrum, so renting a scooter for 60.000 IDR per day was a great solution for us. If you want to live close to nature and have a great view over the rainforest, this is a very good hotel with a great staff. We enjoyed our stay!

I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and we absolutely loved it. If you are planning on staying here you do have to be aware that it is a 15 - 20 minute drive out of the center of Ubud - but that it was makes it special. Ubud center - while still not as busy as Kuta and Seminyak - is getting much busier. DD Ubud offers a chance to escape all the hustle and bustle with a jungle paradise as the villa is right in the heart of the rainforest with a beautiful, quiet and tranquil surrounding - and that is exactly what we wanted from our Bali holiday. It's quiet easy to spend all day relaxing in the infinity pool outside overlooking the amazing view and enjoying the amazing massages done in our own villa. None-the-less it is very easy to get into Ubud to go to restaurants (go to the 3 Monkeys!) and see the sites (recommend the Monkey Forest and doing the Campuhan Ridge Walk). The villa offers a free shuttle driver who drops you off and picks you up in the center of Ubud. We also did a great cooking class (Payuk Bali) and they picked us up from the villa no troubles. We loved the room - they are simple, clean and a beautiful traditional balinese style with lots of wood and an amazing outdoor bathroom. Best shower I've ever had! The staff were lovely and made our stay even more special. While I'm sure you can find more luxurious places to stay in Ubud - for the price this is a fantastic private and relaxing little piece of paradise. Since coming home I've recommended it to multiple friends who have booked it for their upcoming stay.

My daughter and I just stayed here for the last 3 nights of our Bali holiday and it is just beautiful! The staff could not be more helpful and just the most lovely people. It is a little bit out of the centre of Ubud but they provide transfers to take you into Ubud a couple of times a day so that is fine! Really enjoyed our time here it was quite a magical experience!!

My mum and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had an amazing time. The beautiful villas are simple and very homey, the outside bathroom is amazing, the best shower ever!
We had amazing views from our room and really enjoyed eating breakfast and dinners on our little balcony surrounded by the lush greenery of the jungle.
It is about a 15 min drive from Ubud centre which we loved as it was very tranquil and serene, and they provide free shuttles into Ubud centre each day or you can pay a small fee of $8 to be driven in if you require it at a different time to the scheduled shuttles, so very easy to get in and out of Ubud centre.
The infinity pool is beautiful and there are many great sights to see around the area.

One of the highlights for me was definitely the amazing staff! The nicest and most accommodating people you will ever meet, they just cannot do enough for you. Julie was the name of our driver who also took us on our tours, he was really lovely and made our trip extra special, we just loved him!

Will definitely be back! Great for those seeking adventure, some R&R, and the nature lovers!

My wife and I went on a five night Scoopon Voucher. Magnificent views, but that I'm afraid that is the only positive comment I can make. The accommodation was extremely basic, how anybody could describe it as luxurious is beyond my comprehension. The breakfasts while adequate, again was very very basic with very limited options. While the website states there is an onsite restaurant this is actually a misrepresentation. The food is bought in from an outside restaurant, and by the time you get it, it is cold. Again very limited options. After a having a shower and drying myself, the towel being so threadbare literally ripped apart. We did have a massage in our room, where my wife and I lay cross ways on the bed with the two massage girls on the bed as well. While quite an awkward situation the quality of the massage was very good. There were only two day beds by the pool, which couldn't be shifted, so hardly adequate for seven villas (huts). So give it a miss unless maybe you are young and adventures.
