We stayed in this hotel in between two trips with a houseboat but we did not want to leave. This hotel is perfect, everthing, the room, the view at the backwater, the swimmingpool, the food and especially the people who made us so welcome and friendly we even got a upgrade of the room.
Especially the driver was so nice, he speaks english perfect we are still in touch and we like to come back to this hotel. Waiting for an offer. Thank you so much for everthing it made our stay perfect. (they also have an houseboat there).

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect

Though I was staying in a different property I went to this place to get a view of the Vembanad, see their architecture which looked fascinating in the pictures and take lunch. The locals did not quite know where the place was suggesting it is really a hidden gem in Muhamma. There is an open courtyard in true Kerala style but what sets it apart is the water on the quadrangle and the lovely circular structures that come out of the water, making it visually spectacular. Artworks are strewn everywhere-paintings, curios making the place visually spectacular. But what sets the place apart is the service of the people here. I had talked to a lady called Mary in the front office and told her my flight is running a trifle late and I will reach Muhamma late. She said she will keep the kitchen informed and thanks to her and Joyce in the kitchen, we got served lunch at 4.30. Its not the architecture and interiors that makes a good property but the people and Purity have some people who are amongst the best in the business. The clientele is mostly European elderly people .

Visiting Purity for 4 relaxing days after a hectic spell at work was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the culture and natural beauty of Kerala. From the moment we arrived, the staff were more than obliging and personable. Our room, idyllically situated right on the banks of Lake Vembanad was beautifully appointed with subtle artistic touches. Throughout the resort, the eclectic blend of old and new artworks and artefacts worked magically to create a special space and ambience. The food was very good, especially the fish and the typical South Indian rice pancakes or aapams, which we ate at every meal! We spent our time taking leisurely boat rides along the backwaters; lazing by the pool; taking divine Ayurvedic oil massages, visiting the nearby temple and also taking a day-trip to Kochi where we had a sumptuous meal at the gorgeous Malabar House. On our return, we chanced upon a temple festival with resplendently decked elephants swaying to the rhythmic beat of drums and cymbals, all on the grounds of a 1400 year old temple. Staying at Purity was the perfect get away. We have already recommended the resort to friends and can't wait to return again.

Room Tip: A room with a view, situated on the lakefront is ideal.

We stayed here at the end of our hectic three week, India tour for a wind down, before returning home. The staff are pleasant and friendly, the hotel thoughtfully laid out and very clean. We had a lovely large room with a large bathroom. The decor is simple and tasteful, with lots of interesting antiques placed around the hotel. The food was lovely also. We spent a couple of days chilling by the lake, watching the passing traffic on it. I would recommend this hotel based on our experience.

We stayed 2 nights at Purity with family and it was a wonderful experience to enjoy the personalised and courteous service in this tranquil place by the lake Vembanadu with lush green landscaping.

The traditional Kerala home (Nalukettu style) is tastefully re-created with open verandah and balcony with tasteful cultural and heritage collections and style.

Relax and listen to the birds, or the gentle ripples of the lake, you will leave the place re-juvenated.
